Later that Evening, I dressed for dinner and met Evangeline a few yards from the dining room door as usual. Ev bowed to my parents, to which they nodded. I still thought it was a little funny so I gave an exaggerated curtsy.

When we all sat, Evangeline started the conversation,

"So Jaron, who would gain the throne if you died."

"I-uh- that's a weird question but Imogen would, and then Addy. If Harlowe was still High Chamberlain then he would, unless Addy has kids by then," Jaron replied.

"Perfect..." She sighed

"Okay time to change the subject!" Roden said, eyeing her.

"So, the upcoming ball," Nessa awkwardly changed the subject.

"Wait, how did you find out?" Her father cut her off.

"Ev told me," she remarked.

"You can't expect me to not tell them about the ball!" Evangeline whined.

"Yes I can," Tobias told her.

"No, you didn't tell me to," Ev replied wisely.

The dinner continued like any other. Eat, small talk, boring boring boring.
