***once again content/trigger warning for guns, though much less involved than the last chapter! Also warning for mentions of cutting though in relation to a movie, and not in detail*** (that being said, spoiler warnings for the movie Gerald's Game LMFAO)
Bess sat crossed legged on the bed she shared with George in their hotel room. She couldn't stop playing with the strap of the green romper she was wearing, while staring straight ahead of her.
Bess had gone to bed so excited the night prior knowing she was going to dress cute for Joe the next day. She could practically see him grinning at her, a light blush dusted on his cheeks as he tried not to let it show that he loved what she was wearing.
And then she got the text from Nancy saying he had disappeared, and Bess felt all that excitement sink. She had launched into a rant to George, who was currently trying to distract her with a game of cards. Truth be told, she had calmed down since the news had been broken to her. But in the back of her mind, she just kept thinking of his beautiful smile that she prayed she'd get to see again soon.
"Got any fours?" George brought her out of her thoughts, sitting at the end of the bed while Bess leaned back against the pillows. She shook her head slightly to clear her mind, but George took it as a no,
"You don't? You know you're supposed to say 'go fish'" She chided, picking a crumb off her hoodie. Bess glanced down at her cards, where a four of hearts was tucked in the middle.
"...I've got one." She plucked the four from her deck and threw it over to George. It fluttered onto the sheets in front of her. George collected it, but she soon put her cards face down on the bed.
"Still worried about Joe?"
"And Nancy. And Frank." Bess replied, biting her lip slightly. George remained silent for a moment, an uncertain look passing over her face,
"... I am too." She admitted, and Bess let her mouth drop,
"George! You're supposed to be calming me down!" She snapped, and George put her hands up in surrender,
"Sorry! It's hard not to worry.."
"Yeah... I know." The two cousins fell into silence once more, until Bess felt her phone buzz next to her.
"Who's that?" George asked as Bess picked the device up to check her texts.
"Nancy." She replied absently, opening her messages to read the new one. She tried to ignore the text that told of Joe's predicament, and read the new one from her best friend. Her eyebrows scrunched up in confusion.
"George. What the heck are 'sand po lice'?" She inquired, puzzlement filling her whole being.
"What are you talking about?" George was evidently confused too.
"Nancy's text. It says 'Need help. Sand po lice to my locale.'" Bess looked up from her phone right as George was bringing her palm to her forehead.
"Let me see the text." Bess immediately handed over her phone, and George scanned her eyes over the message.
"Bess. It's not 'sand po lice' it's 'send police'. Nancy's in trouble." George deadpanned, tossing the device back over to Bess, who was turning red with embarrassment,
"Well then call the police George!" Bess exclaimed, feeling sheepish. George rolled her eyes, but grabbed her own phone,
"You find the address."
"Got it."

Frank was backed into what appeared to be some sort of an office space within the gigantic warehouse. Cedric still had the gun pointed right at him, and so Frank was left without a choice but to stand there with his hands up in surrender.
