Daren came home reeking of Miranda and joy. I knew immediately that he asked her to prom. I knew he would anyway. I may not look like a well, I guess some call it "evil genius", but I definitely am to most people.

I was going dress shopping with Brad on Saturday. I was hoping to find a good looking dress. Looks can kill after all.

I laughed at the thought of that.

"What're you so giggly about?" said Tiffany. She jumped down from her little hiding spot in my room. It kind of creeped me out sometimes.

"Nothing" I answered with a side smile.

"Ok well it's almost dinner time. Come down with me and lets go eat!"

"Will do." I got up and let Tiffany drag me downstairs. I was still very excited how every little piece of my plan was falling together. Nothing could stop me now.

I punched in the numbers on my phone to call Daren. I needed to tell him about the arranged date the Samantha had made for all of us. Dress shopping on Saturday. We were going to the mall and of course the boys could get something for themselves.

His phone rang for awhile until he finally picked up.

"Hello" he said.

"Er hi" I started. "It's Miranda."

"O hi Miranda! What's up?" He could talk so easily to people. I'm kind of jealous of that.

"Well you know my friend Samantha?" I asked him. I started to figure out a way I could tell him about the whole shopping thing.

"Ya."

"Well she planned a sort of date I guess for us and her. She's bringing her boyfriend too." I continued to somewhat stall.

"Where?" He seemed a little interested at least.

"At the mall. She wants to go dress shopping for...well...you already know." I finally managed to tell him.

"Sounds cool. I'll be there!" He answered. I heard someone shout behind him.

"Daren! Dinners here! Stop talking with your girlfriend and hurry before its all gone!" It was a boy. He sounded about the same age as Daren. Daren must have a brother. I heard him laugh.

"I'll be right there! I've got to go now Miranda. Nice talking to you. Bye." He hung up.

I laid down my phone and got up. I had to eat dinner as well. My stomach growled in agreement. I walked down the stairs to our kitchen and saw my mom making dinner already. I looked over and saw spaghetti and some red marinara sauce.

"Do you want corn or peas?" My mom asked. I looked up at her to see two bags of frozen vegetables, one labeled corn an the other peas.

"I'm gunna go with corn" I answered.

"Excellent choice" she nodded and resumed her cooking. I smoothed back my hair that had gotten a little frizzy from the spaghetti steam.

I walked to the living room and sat down. The remote was trapped between the cushion seats. The remote clicked as I lost all of my thoughts about tomorrow's date.

I ran downstairs to the kitchen with another young pack member. James, I think. The smell of chicken, turkey, and other assorted foods waft up to my nose. I seem to jump down the remaining stairs. I walked into the huge kitchen and grabbed a plate, my food, and a Pepsi.
