I drove up to the school. The place seemed desolated. Daren rushed out with an unconscious Miranda in his arms. He had his sky blue gym uniform on. It looked amazing on him with his jet black hair. I mean-strange! Strange, but no time to think about it.

Daren swung open the back of my toyota camry and laid Miranda down. He jumped into the front seat.

"Lets go" he said without taking his eyes off of the road. I just drove faster and faster. I ran a few stop signs. I think I even made it to the houses in record time!

Daren jumped out of the car, grabbed Miranda, and ran into the house. I turned off the engine and ran after them.

What had happened? Why was Miranda bleeding? Why was Daren in his gym uniform? All the questions swam in my head and eventually gave me a headache.

I walked into complete chaos in the house. Mr. Smith was helping his wife take care of their daughter. A lot of yelling that was there didn't help my headache at all.

I looked around. Where was Daren?

~Daren~

I ran into the house with Miranda in my arms. Her head was still bleeding and right now, on my shirt. I kicked the door open-pretty sure I broke it- and ran in. Immediately Mr. Smith came down to see what the noise was about. When he saw Miranda he grabbed her from me and got to work.

"Darcy!" He yelled. Mrs. Smith ran down and gasped. She immediately went into action to help her only child. I stood there for a moment, in shock still, as they helped as much as possible.

I kept thinking to myself, I did this. I threw her against the wall. I made her bleed. The worst thought was that I was doing absolutely nothing.

My eyes felt damp. I blinked back tears. I wouldn't cry, not right now. I took in a deep breath.

My thoughts got interrupted by Mr. Smith asking me something.

"What?" I asked. Of course I hadn't heard him before.

"Why don't you just go to bed? We'll figure all if this out tomorrow." I nodded my head in agreement and slowly stood up. Trudging my feet up the stairs, my head really started to hurt.

I reached my door and opened it. The door squeaked a little as I opened it and closed it. More of a slam. I heard the shouting of Veronica and Miranda's parents downstairs.

My heart beat faster. I jumped at the sound of a loud slam of a door.

I huddled into the blankets on my bed. I felt like a small pup being punished. I didn't want to face the world. I wanted to blink my eyes and everything would be perfectly fine. Miranda would be smiling and laughing, Veronica hard at work, the pack would be back at the pack house, and no Hunters would ever be involved.

I closed my eyes while thinking. Soon enough I was fast asleep.

~Miranda~

Everything was black. It was like a twisted dream where I was in absolutely nothing. I could hear shouts, but they sounded very distant. A slam of a door made my eyes pop open.

A wet washcloth was on my forehead. My head was pounding. I attempted to sit up, but immediately sat right back down.

"You're awake!" I was gripped into a bear hug that was definitely from my mom. I groaned as her arm hit a few bruised areas.

"Oops, sorry." She said and let go of me. "You should rest some more. Had quite an injury." She walked away right after smiling at me warmly.

I didn't want to sleep. What if I had another empty dream? The pain on my head wouldn't let me anyway. I shut my eyes though. Reluctantly I fell asleep.
