~Miranda~

"Ready?" Daren asked me. I nodded my head and felt a sudden surge of energy flow through me. Daren pushed open the double doors.

Lights were flashing different colors and music was blaring, but there was a huge something missing. There weren't any people.

Daren immediately tensed up. He looked around and I could tell he was focusing very hard. Suddenly he grabbed my hand.

"Lets go." He whispered to me.

"What?" I asked confused.

"Come on." He said and pushed me back through the doors. The halls were deathly quiet. It scared me terribly and goosebumps went up my arms.

When we reached the door outside Daren shoved them, but they wouldn't open. His eyes went wide as he tried again and again. I began to feel scared again.

"What's going on, Daren?" I ask. He turned around and put his finger against my lips.

"Hunters. It's a trap. You have to be quiet." He whispered. I felt my heart almost leap out of my chest. Daren was able to catch his breathe after a while and I started to calm down.

That all changed though. It all happened so quickly. Hunters jumped out of doors and corners. Daren threw me across the room and my head hit the wall hard.

I began to black out, but right before I saw a black wolf. The one that was in my dreams and outside my house. Realization hit me like a train. Daren. Daren was my nightmare. I was in love with my nightmare.

Blackness filled my vision as my eyes closed completely.

~Daren~

As soon as I threw Miranda across the room I wished I hadn't. I heard the loud thump and could smell blood. It was very faint, but enough to tell me that her head was bleeding.

All the pressure got to me. I changed so quickly to my wolf. Rage ran through my veins instead of blood. This must be what it's like to be a hell hound.

I growled and attacked only when I had too. That was a lot actually. I ended up ripping all of the hunters to shreds. My shoulder had been hit, but it was only a little sore.

Still in my wolf, I walked over to Miranda and nudged her. I turned back to human. I ran to my gym locker. I came back, dressed this time, and picked up Miranda. She obviously lost a lot of blood.

I laid her back down and pulled out her phone from her small purse she brought. It flicked open and I dialed Veronica's number in.

"What?" She said as her answer.

"Veronica I need you to come to the school." I said. Thankfully her date had been sick, so she had to stay home.

"Why? What happened?" She asked.

"Lets just say prom can be a pain." I said.

"I'll be right there." She hung up.
