Chapter 6
I hurry into the house and up the stairs to my room to grab clothes for today before I take a shower. Once I am showered and dressed I quickly blow dry my hair in my room before braiding my hair and heading back downstairs to get breakfast.
I find Adrian already in the kitchen munching on toast, "Morning lex,"
"Hey," I say with a smile, "I don't suppose you made me any?"
"I didn't but Lochlan made extra this morning before he went to see the horses," He grin and pushes the plate of toast over too me. "Here, these are yours."
I take them and grab my phone from the table before heading into the hall, "Come on, or we're going to be late." I state and start the 45 minute walk to our bus stop.
Quickly Adrian catches up to me and we make small talk as we head to the stop and wait for the bus. "Okay, can you please tell me again when you stopped finding Tamsin so annoying?" I ask.
He rolls his eyes at me but answers the question anyway, "I don't know really when it happened but recently I suddenly realised that she's a really great person to be around. I mean we have all the same interests and I have known her for years. So yeah, I just thought I would ask her out."
I grin and shake my head with laughter, "I hope you know that you can't ever break up with her now."
"Why? What do you mean?" He asks, looking confused.
I just continue to laugh, "Because she is officially like a sister to me now, so you two have to stay together so that Tammy and I can be related."
He shakes his head at me in disapproval as the bus arrives and we head on. I spot Tamsin at the back in our usual seats and I rush to sit next to her. Adrian sits with his other friends but not before giving Tamsin a small smile.
"Hey girl!" She grins as I sit down.
"Hey," I smile, "You ready to help look after the horses on Sunday?"
"What's Sunday?" She asks.
I raise an eyebrow at her, "The competition, you said to my mum a few weeks ago that you'd stay here and help look after the horses that aren't going to competition."
She giggles at me, "Oh yeah, right. I forgot! Sorry! I'm totally still up for helping though."
"Great!" I grin back at her.
She sweeps her blonde hair out of her face and gives me a mischievous look, "So how is Mr. arrogant?"
I give her a strange look, "Still the same why?"
"Oh I don't know, maybe cause Adrian told me that he saw you two talking earlier this morning." She laughs.
I turn my head and shoot a glare at the back of Adrian's head. "What the hell was he doing up that early?"
"He said he wanted to get to the bathroom early so that he can have a shower before you wake up and hog the bathroom." She shrugs.
I roll my eyes, "Mr. Arrogant is still the same, and he and I were just discussing how we couldn't sleep and how he was sorry for crossing the line earlier when we had been talking. But apart from that, he is just the same cocky person he was when you met him."
"What line did he cross?" She asks quizzically.
I sigh and don't look at her, "He mentioned my father."
She goes silent for a moment, "Oh look we're at school." She says and stands up, "Listen, just ignore whatever he said alright. He doesn't know a thing."
