"Oh, she started visiting Dr.Moorthy again?"
Albert had gotten the news from Jackson.

"Yes,she is much better now"
Jackson replied.

Dr.Moorthy was putting her through meditation and yoga sessions. She is slowly mastering the art of learning how to handle failure better, but she is not there yet.

"Why don't you bring her home? For dinner? How about tomorrow?"

It had been a long time since they had gotten together for dinner. Before the entire divorce drama began, Jewel had cut ties with all of them.

Even when she was assaulted by Tobias,Albert and Jude had rushed to bring her back but Jewel refused to go with them. But Rebecca didn't give up. She called her everyday till she picked up. Waited for her everyday till she acknowledged her. After lots of efforts, they were back to talking terms.

"Let me ask her if she could make time"

"Okay, I will tell her mother. Rebecca was missing her a lot"
Obviously!she gave birth to her!
Only Rebecca knew what she was feeling. Her daughter is staying in a house where she got assaulted twice. There is nothing she can do for her. Helplessness is a horrible state of mind.

Oh my gosh!

Rebecca had cooked a feast for her daughter and son-in-law.

Lizzy, Jackson and Viviaan looked at each other in awe. All of their favourite dishes were served.

From steak to pulav, Rebacca had taken care of their in-laws food preferences.

It wasn't easy for Lizzy to get convinced for the meal. But which mother won't go soft when her son is requesting so dearly?

She had to oblige.

She wore her most expensive saree to spite Rebecca, who welcomed them with the warmest smile.

Viviaan could never say no to his sister-in-law.

All three of them were there-Albert,Rebecca and Jude.

They were joined by Mira later.

Mira and Jude were still not in actively talking terms, but it wasn't the same with the other family members.

She was still Albert's favourite daughter.

After having usual chit-chat, as they gorged on the food, Albert spoke up
" Jewel, your proffessor had called me last week."

She stopped chewing her food and looked at him with trembling eyes.

"He said you failed hematology?"

The smirk on Mira's face was so evident.

"Yes"
Jewel replied.

"What happened? "
He asked.

"Albert!Please..."
Rebecca didn't want  to put her daughter through a questioning round.

"What!I am just asking about what happened? What went wrong? I am her father! I could help!"
Albert had his own arguments.

"Its okay, Mom. I failed. Thats what happened. I am a loser. Are we done? Are you satisfied?"

This was Jackson's first time being witness to the drama-of-the-Mathews.

"Jewel... Watch your tone!"
Jude warned her.

"Let it be,Jude!" Albert continued

"Its not the first time, though. She will just waste her time and then put on her lunatic shows once she fails. I shouldn't have cared"
