Honor

A child's heart is pure and kind
With gratitude for all they find
But sometimes in the rush of life
They forget to honor their own strife

Parents' love is strong and true
Their sacrifices, oftentimes askew
But a child must also learn to see
Their own worth, and to just be

For in honoring oneself, one honors all
The lessons learned, the rise and fall
So let us teach our children well
To honor themselves, in their tale to tell.
