EASE AT NIGHT

Alone in the silence of the night,
My thoughts take flight, my heart takes sight,
The world is still, the stars shine bright,
And though I'm lonely, it feels just right.

The calmness of the evening air,
The moon's soft glow, the shadows there,
All of it seems to soothe my care,
And though I'm lonely, I'm unaware.

For in this moment, all is calm,
And though I'm solo, there's no alarm,
The night is peaceful, like a balm,
And I'm content to be on my own farm.

So though I'm lonely, I feel free,
To dream and ponder, just for me,
The night is mine, and I can see,
That sometimes solitude is the key.
