Changed by a Moment

An event changed me,
A moment so profound.
Like a wave in the sea,
It shifted me around.

It opened my eyes,
To a truth I couldn't see.
And as my heart cried,
I knew I had to be free.

The past I had known,
Was no longer the same.
The seeds that were sown,
Were ready to be tamed.

So I took a deep breath,
And stepped into the unknown.
With courage and faith,
My new path was shown.

And now I look back,
At the person I used to be.
Grateful for that event,
That changed the very essence of me.
