Bittersweet Love

My heart once whole, now shattered and torn,
A love so sweet, now bitter and forlorn.
His promises were false, his words untrue,
Leaving me alone, with nothing to do.

My days are empty, my nights so long,
Memories of him, forever strong.
I gave him my all, my heart and soul,
But he left me here, with an empty hole.

I try to move on, but it's hard to do,
When every thought, leads me back to you.
My heart is broken, my spirit low,
Wishing for a love, that will never go.
