Aarav POV
I stared at Ira sleeping on my chest with her arm around me.
She has been clingier than she use to.
Since she met her mother, she has been a little different. She really clings on me, trying to make herself believe that I'm not going anywhere.
And I'm honestly not.
She's the love of my life. My only life.
But I'm also not complaining. I like that she clings on me but I need to clear her fear away. I don't want her to think that I'm leaving her and I've been trying my best to make her think that.
She does understand but she's still vulnerable.
I'm just going to let her take her time.
"I'm nervous. What if I don't pass? I won't get to graduate." Ira mumbled, staring at her college website that was loading so slow.
"You'll pass. I know you will."
"But my chocolate broke at the side. I tried to attach it back but it broke. The chefs might not like it." She mumbles again, refreshing the page.
Ira already finished her course with a final project, which is making a chocolate art and few desserts. I became the lab rat and I swear, I never had that much sweets.
I lost my 2 packs. I only have 4 now.
But I'm so proud on how far she came.
She came up with new flavours, ideas and I was pretty proud of her. She had all these amazing ideas by herself. I know she was struggling but she overcame it.
I even saw the chocolate art.
I was so damn proud on how it turned out and I know it's not easy doing it alone. My wife is amazing.
And May didn't show up because she overslept.
"Ah! It's loading! Aarav, look at it! I'm scared!" She gave me her phone and shoved her face on the couch, making me crack a smile.
I just rubbed her back, staring at the screen and it popped up.
"Ira, it's up."
"I failed, right?! I'm so upset that I didn't get to attach my broken branch. It was all because of that guy. I'm so sad! I wasted your 4 digit money!" She looks at me, frowning sadly.
Fucking hell, she looks cute and she was quite angry about the broken branch. She told me what happened and I knew this would happen because she is really good on what she does, so I warned her about people sabotaging.
And someone almost did. Thank goodness she realised it.
"Come here." She climbs on my lap, leaning on my shoulder and wraps her arms around me.
"I'm sorry I didn't do good but I had fun there. Thank-
"You passed. You're the best student." She stopped talking, staring at me and I showed her the phone, making her stare at it.
