"Do we really need a road trip? We can just stay home." I questioned when Aarav bought us coffees on our way somewhere.
"It's our first time going for a vacation and I have a week off, which is rare."
"Super rare." I said sipping on my coffee and unwrapping a sandwich for him. He took it, chewing on it and started to drive.
"But where are we going? Is it another state? We can cross to another state by road?!" I asked in surprise because I never knew.
I didn't know we could.
"Yes, another state and you'll like it. We can have street food, walk around and sleep."
"Like the one I see in Insta! We can have hot foods at the side of the road?" I got excited pretty awfully and Aarav smiled, nodding his head.
"We can have all the foods you want."
"I'm going to find the ones that has pickles. I really want something sour." I said already imagining pickles.
Pickles sounds so good.
"We'll get everything." Aarav said kissing my hand and I smiled, kissing his cheek, mumbling a thank you.
We drove for a long time.
It went for a very long time.
"I would offer myself to drive but I can't. Are you okay?" Aarav chuckled, glancing at me.
"I'm okay, it's just a 3 hour drive and we're just an hour away." He said glancing at the map and I nodded, rubbing his arm, afraid that he might get cramps.
But my stomach made a huge grumble, making Aarav look at me.
"I think I'm hungry." I mumbled and he let out a laugh, driving off the highway right away.
We stopped at a diner, buying burgers and it was so good. It was so freaking good but my stomach didn't feel full.
"Aarav, I think I'm still hungry. I don't feel full." I said after finishing a burger and I don't usually eat this much.
"Okay, we'll get a burger—
"And cheese fries." I said quickly. Aarav smiled, nodding his head and called the waiter.
I happily held on the paper, clutching it on my lap and Aarav suddenly kissed my cheek, making me look at him.
"You are being cute." He mumbled, kissing my cheek repeatedly that made me giggle.
I ate fries on our way, talking about the things I saw along the way and I gave him fries now and then, making sure he doesn't fall asleep.
"It's a cow! So fluffy." I mumbled, smiling by myself.
"Aarav, can we visit a zoo? I want to see animals up close, please?" I said to him and he glanced at me, holding my hand to his lap.
"Tell me your wishes. Whatever you want to do"
"Anything?" He nodded, focusing on the road and I hummed, thinking about it.
