Aarav POV
"Aarav!" Ira kept slapping my hand while I was biting her cheek.
I finally got to bite her cheek.
Ira has been feeling better and it's been a month since she got out of hospital. Joe forbid her from work and I was happy that he did it himself.
I stayed as much as I could, making sure she's good and mentally good too.
That's important to me and I'm glad that the doctor didn't say anything to her.
I'm keeping that secret forever with me. She has been through enough and I will never forget what they did to her.
"There's a bite mark!" I grinned and she was rubbing her cheek, turning to me.
"I've been waiting for that."
"We have Joe's wedding tomorrow! I don't want a bite mark on my cheek!" She grumbled, glaring at me and I forgot about that.
"I'm sorry— but you look so cute, love." I pulled her on my lap, kissing her cheek while she still glared at me.
"I'll buy you a cheeseburger."
"With cheese fries and milkshake." I cracked a smile, nodding my head.
While we waited for the burgers to arrive, Ira dragged me to our room, trying out dresses for tomorrow.
It's her first time attending a wedding and she bought a few dresses just for that. It's actually the first time she splurged on something.
It's a big deal for Ira to spend on dresses and attending a wedding. Technically a big day for her and she will probably start the day tomorrow with an excited shriek.
I sat on the bed, staring at her while she was laying out the dresses.
We've come far from how we were and I'm happy we're doing well.
But I need to do something about that boy.
I got to know from Sugar that Ira was arguing with a teenage boy, yelling about something and she said it was her first time seeing Ira angry.
I think it might be her step brother and he probably knows who she is.
"What about this? I like the sleeves!" Ira was twirling around in a floral dress with poofy long sleeves. It had like V neck, showing some cleavage— which I absolutely love.
"Awh, Aarav, I think it's ripped. I didn't realise it had this straight line. My 2 digit money." She frowned, flailing around with the dress.
It's actually a slit and she looked hot.
"It's a design, love."
"To show my thighs? I don't wanna show my thighs. I'm returning this." She grumbled, taking it off and I cracked a small smile, knowing she doesn't like wearing those outside.
She'll happily wear shorts at home.
"Okay, we'll return it. What else?" I asked getting a little excited because she already looked good in the floral one.
She wore a dark blue one and it looked a little grandma-ish. She frowned again, taking it off and she grabbed the last one, changing into that.
And it took my breath away.
"Sugar picked this one. She said it's a black tie wedding." Ira mumbled, twirling around at me awkwardly and I know that she's not comfortable in the dress yet but she looked so beautiful.
