"I object!" Came a loud voice from behind me. I widened my eyes at the familiar voice, quickly snapping my head to look at the man that I had wanted nothing more than to see...though, I had never wanted to see him here -- in Russia.
At this forced wedding.
.
.
Jonah.
How the hell did he even get here-?
"J-!" I began to yell but was prevented when Aidan quickly took my right hand, clenched down on it in his own grip, and immediately pulled me to him. It made it impossible to take even a step closer towards my friend.
I winced at the pain, looking back at Aidan slowly.
His eyes were dark, and his face held no emotion to it. I knew that he hadn't liked it when another man's name came out of my mouth – especially if it was Jonah's or Killian's. According to him...the only man that I should be concerned with was him.
Everyone else should be left in the past.
"Leave-!" I tried to warn my best friend before it was too late to escape this place with his life.
I couldn't protect him from where I was currently standing and he was in a room full of people that wouldn't think twice before taking his life. I never wanted him to be in danger – it was precisely why I was doing this to begin with.
"No, Ari!" Jonah yelled, placing his arms out to his sides.
He wasn't going to budge.
I was beginning to sweat terribly as I could do nothing for him. Aidan would easily be able to overpower me if I even attempted to go towards Jonah. The only thing I could do was persuade him to leave out of his own free will –
Jonah always stood up for what he believed in.
This was going to be difficult and nerve wracking.
Don stepped down a few levels and placed his arms behind his back, looking at the eighteen year old that dared to crash his son's wedding. Don glanced between me and Jonah as his mouth had turned into a stern line. I did my best to avoid the older man's eyes – it wasn't my idea to bring him here.
"I know that you don't want to marry him – he doesn't even know you," Jonah commented gently as he looked me in the eyes.
Jonah lowered his arms to his sides.
"He probably doesn't even know what music you like...!" Jonah spoke out in frustration as his eyebrows creased.
This caused Don to slowly walk down a few more steps until he reached the base level and strode over towards the first pew.
I was concerned that he would attack Jonah –
It looked like Don was sizing up his prey.
"She likes to listen to Classical, by the way," Jonah announced, glaring at Aidan who hadn't so much as acknowledged him since the moment he arrived. "It lets her forget about all the fucked up shit that you did to her in the past," Jonah continued as he clenched his hands tightly at his sides.
I could tell that he was angry that I was in this situation and he knew that being married was never in my future plans until the very far off future.
"It helps her take her mind off all the shit that you put her through-!" Jonah continued to rant as he took a step forward.
