I felt someone holding my arm.

I opened my eyes and it was my wife. Maybe she thought that I'm a pillow.

When I woke up the first thing that I saw was Ashley in my chest. She was sleeping so calmly.

I didn't want to wake her up but it was already 7am and she might get hungry later. Kaya mabilis at dahan dahan akong tumayo and it was successful. She was sleeping so soundly.

It was hot outside so I did not wear any top. Wala naman din namang titingin dito saakin. Nagluto ako ng eggs and bacon while I toast the pandesal na pinadala samin nila Mom.

Maya maya pa ay narinig ko na yung pinto. She was already awake sakto lang yung pagluluto ko para may makain na siya.

"Morning" sabi ko pero ni hindi niya ako tinignan sa mukha. She was looking downwards.

Sana ay comfortable na siya sakin because I will never hurt her. She's my wife now, she is now my responsibility.

Umupo siya at kumuha ng pandesal. I looked at her face but there were no signs of discomfort.

"Hey just a reminder about Rule number three" I got her attention. She focused on me while still eating.

"It applies to you and me" Gusto ko lang malaman niya that I do really respect her.

She nodded while saying "Malamang alangan naman sakin lang"

"Yeah I...nevermind it's fine" I saw how her eyebrows arched. She was curious but it was not needed to tell her about it.

She just thought I was her pillow, no big deal.

"Ano ba yon?" Tanong niya ulit and it gets funnier as I look at her curious face.

"Wala nga I'm just telling you" I smiled at her at hindi na napigilan ang pagtawa ng onti.

Kumain na kami and what I'm thinking about is now the company. May mga kailangan pa nga pala akong gawin.

"We will leave later" I informed her.

"May aasikasuhin lang ako sa office then I will comeback to get you" I explained further but she just nodded.

"Emergency meeting"

Fuck.

Isa lang ang ibig sabihin ng salitang yon. May nangyayaring hindi maganda. Pagkapasok ko palang ay marami ng nakapilang paperworks and also calls that I have to attend to.

I smoked...when I'm stressed I start smoking because it calms my nerves down.

Wala din naman si Ashley kaya makakapagsigarilyo ako ng hindi niya naaamoy at ng hindi siya ubuhin.

"Sir, baka mag backout si Mr. Chou..." I remained calmed but I was already so stressed. Nagpatong patong ang mga problema.

"Let me talk to him" I said at agad namang pumasok si Mr. Chou sa office ko.

"Good Afternoon, Mr. Chou..." I shook his hand.

"You're not stupid. I'm here because I want you to confirm your agreement with the Gracia. With them we can be the number one in the whole world!"

I closed my fist. Yes, this is a marriage of convenience but I don't expect it to be this useful right now.

"Mr. Chou! What a surprise!" Narinig ko yung boses ni Daddy.
