Haley turned to Lb and said, "Let's go to the stream, by the time we get there we'll be hot, then we can fish for our lunch and end the day by making a starting point for a house that we can build while we wait for everyone else to return. "I don't want to. There's no reason we can't just sit here and do nothing for 3 days." Lb responded. "Lb I don't know what this sorrowful version of you is or where it came from but I am going to make the most out of these next few days whether you want to or not." Haley said, storming off with a sharp stick. "Haley, wait, I'm sorry, but I'm just worried about C. If she doesn't come back we're all gonna be dead, I don't know how to take care of myself let alone four other people... I'll come with you to the stream, afterall I do know how to gut a fish and clean it." Lb said catching up to Haley. They walked for a mile and a half while talking about the plans for another camp they were going to try and construct while Lilly, Maverick, Teague, and C were gone. Once they were at the stream, Haley waded and Lb caught 2 small fish and cleaned them. "Do you want me to get a fire going?" Haley asked, putting her worn out shoes back onto her wet feet. "Yeah, But we don't have anything to cook the fish in." Lb said throwing fish guts to the side. "Couldn't you just jab a stick through the fish? Then set it up on two long sticks over the fire?" Haley asked. "Yeah, I could but that's not the safest way. The bacteria from the stick will get on the fish and there will be little pieces of wood in the fish meat too." Lb said. "Well we won't starve. I'll be back in a bit."Haley said, rushing off. When Haley returned Lb had already cooked a fish and caught six more. "You know, if we take the fish skin, cook it, and eat it then it might have great effects on our health." Lb said, showing Haley a sheet of fish skin. "Ew. No way! I am not going to eat scales off of something from the water." Haley exclaimed, dropping all the wood she was holding. "Fine, but you're missing out on some really good stuff," Lb said, popping a bit of fish meat into his mouth. Haley and Lb ate until their stomachs bulged, they hadn't had such a meal in so long and it was a feast to them. "I'm gonna rest a bit, then we can work on a campsite." Haley said, laying back into the grass. "No, I'm going to start working on the camp. Stay here." Lb said, marching off. For hours Haley was sleeping and Lb was collecting sticks twice as big as him, eventually when Lb came back to Haley he found her with a very sunburned face. "Haley, Haley wake up." Lb said gently. "What?" She asked. "Your face is very sunburned. Like very sunburned." Lb said. Haley got up quickly and jumped into the stream. "That's not going to help." Lb called out. "Yeah, but it's in the shade!" Haley called back. Lb took Haley back to the area where Lilly, Maverick, and C had left them, and Haley saw that Lb had gathered large logs and sticks. "Wow you got a lot of wood. Let's start building." Haley said excitedly. "No, we're going to fix your face first." Lb said, pushing Haley on one of the logs. Lb ran into the distance and came back 30 minutes later with an aloe vera leaf. "This is aloe vera it-" Lb started. "I know what it is." Haley said, with an annoyed tone. "Ok, well put it on your face." Lb said, handing Haley the two leaves.
