Pat watched as men and women went up and down the hall working out a plan to get rid of the protective shield that surrounded the two of them.

"They are working together. This is what we have been asking for", he heard Pran say, "This is.....this is my dream and it's happening"

He could see the happiness in Pran's face despite the worried and sad expression.

He was right, this had been his dream ever since the two found out to be each other's mate and leaders of the town.

It has been what he has been trying to achieve all along, the vampire, werewolves and witches working together, being united.

Pat didn't say anything. He just watched the commotion happening. His eyes trailed on the shield like a globe. It was visible, with rays of blue.

He walked towards it and touched it. It felt a little ticklish but not harmful to him. As soon as he gave them permission to attack him, the shield was made. The question was by whom.

As he looked around, he saw the High Council witches behind, held down by their own fellow witches.

They kept them in captivity, same as the wolves and vampires. Andrew and the guys were standing a bit far.

He could see their worried expression and their lips moving up and down, no doubt they were trying to devise a plan to get them out.

No he didn't want that, he wanted them to stay put and not to anything of the sort.

"If you guys are planning something, better stop," he said.

A few seconds later he saw Korn look towards him,

"You want us to stop? But -"

"Yes, don't do anything"

He closed his mind-link.

"Atleast give them a chance to think of something to get you out"

"No, I have bigger fishes to catch" he said looking over his people,

Pran looked at him for the longest,

"What exactly are you planning? What is it that you want?"

Pat didn't have time to answer because at that moment, a crack sound was heard on top of the shield.

They were beginning to navigate through. Their team work was beginning to bear fruit.

They watched as the people rejoiced.

"In any minute now they are going to manage to destroy this shield. We should be ready to fight"

"I'm not going to do anything. They are gonna do all the work for me"

Pran frowned at Pat's words but didn't say anything else. Their attention went back to the situation in front.

The open crack kept growing the more the witches chanted.

But now what surprised them even more were the support the witches were given by the vampire and werewolves.

They were giving them their energy.

The witch's spell required great energy and now that they were trying to break an unknown shield casted by someone they didn't know they had to use a high amount of energy.

"They are about to open the shield"

Pran gulped. If they got to Pat then all would be over.

"Well then let them" and he was adamant in his response, "We both know who casted the spell" Pat glanced down at him.
