Pran glanced outside the window of his office as he looked down at the vast spread of the town.

The High Council buildings were situated within the centre of the town making the view of the whole town visible.

People were moving up and about, going to and from.

Things have been happening a lot lately that Pran hadn't taken time to stop and look over the progress he had made ever since they came into power and he was sad to see that things were still the same as ever.

He has been through a lot of challenges lately and none of them had brought any significant change to the behaviours of all the factions.

Although it had been like that, Andrew encouraged him to be happy on the little achievements he has made so far. For instance, building the realm for the witches.

The construction was done and they were soon going to hold the opening ceremony once the date was announced.

The vampires and werewolves weren't happy to receive the news of what Pran had decided but they let it be.

Pran knew for a fact that those two were also going to come with their own proposals which they expected to be agreed upon.

Secondly, because of Ezekiel's situation, there was less hostility between the three factions now.

Pran had to agree that there are smaller changes to the way all these factions talked to each other now.

But Pran had his doubts that things would remain the same forever, especially now they still had a bigger situation ahead of them with Pat being a hybrid and all.

Speaking of Pat, he has been living in the woods for over a week now.

Pran and both Wai, Andrew and Korn have been trying to get him to mix his hybrid scent with the smell of the forest.

After they were 100% sure it would be undetectable, it was then that Pat would come home.

They knew keeping his absence unknown would be difficult since the vampire community asked a lot for his presence and so they had to lie saying he was out on a one man mission and didn't give out any further details.

Pran knew they had to think of something to give back to the questions that the High Council seemed to throw around.

It's how the members of the High Council didn't trust them enough to make decisions on their own.

Perhaps they had forgotten that although Pran and Pat kindly allowed them to continue with their duties, they were no longer in charge.

On the other hand of good news to look forward to, Korn was discharged from the hospital.

First thing Pran did was apologise to him once more and fill him in on everything that has been happening.

It was a shock to learn that his best friend was a hybrid now, but he didn't have time to dwell on it. They needed to make things right.

A knock on the door made Pran, Korn, Wai and Andrew turn towards it. They had been idling around in Pran's office trying to get issues of the town as well as their homeworks and assignments done.

Even though they were busy with leading the town, they could never abandon their studies and so they studied from home.

"Come in,"

Pran announced as he moved to take his seat. Mr Dolkes, an elder and a representative from the vampire community strolled in.

Korn bowed a little when he immediately saw him and although Mr Dolkes had a disapproving look on his face, he greeted him back.
