Queen of the Cold Castle

Chapter Six:

TW - minor mentions of a eating disorder.

The sun began to fill my room as I slowly opened my eyes, remember the last few hours. I looked around to see no-one, did I dream it or was she here. Today was Saturday so at least I had no classes, I began to get ready for the day however a note lying on my desk caught my attention, 'Come to my office after dinner - Lady Lesso', so I didn't imagine it. I wondered what she would teach me, I felt the nerves rise, what if I disappointed her something in me didn't want to see her ever disappointed. 

I decided to fill day with more revision, trying to get as much information in my head about magic that I could. I hadn't left my room all day so looking at the clock which read 15:00 I decided to go for a wonder around the grounds and get some fresh air. I strolled through the gardens watching the beautiful red and black roses which reminded me of Lesso, smiling to myself I walked towards to the edge of the endless forest which had there gates open a jar. "Come to me Y/n." Rafal called to me. Completely enchanted by curiosity I pushed the gate open more slipping myself inside. As I walked down the dirty path I tried to remember as much of my surroundings as possible so I would't get lost. After about 30 minutes of walking a came to a clearing where stood the all to familiar man with enchanting blue eyes. He gave me a wide but cold smile "Y/n, my love. You finally found me."

"You called." I replied with a small smile, "So, you're the famous Rafal who joins my dreams and thoughts" I continued. "The one and only. I want to help you succeed my love, so evil can win and right the pass wrongs." he replied still giving off a cold smile, the use of his nickname for me made me shiver but not in a welcoming way. "Why do you care about me so much?" I questioned, "I would do anything for you my love, you are very powerful and I want to help you excel in this world. You and I could rule this world and help shape it the correct way." he responded. 

"Mmm I have no desire to rule" Rafal looked disappointed at this revelation "however evil does need to finally win" I continued thinking of making Lesso proud. "That settles it. I will help your power grow, meet me at the stroke of midnight every night. -- Oh and y/n don't be seen or tell anyone." with that Rafal disappeared engulfed in black mist, leaving me alone in the clearing. 

After a few moments of gathering my thoughts I decided to head back to the castle, I took a few wrong turns on my way back so by the time I had reached the gates darkness had fallen. I had missed dinner but it didn't bother me, I rarely ate as I was afraid of gaining weight and sometimes these thoughts consumed me. I know I shouldn't care but the reality was that I do. 

I wondered through the halls finally arriving at my desired destination, the Dean's office. I was excited to see her but was still nervous about what might occur. Giving a gentle knock the door opened for me to lay my eyes on the dean who sat at her desk engrossed in paper work. After a few awkward moments of me just standing there waiting for her to acknowledge me, I gave a small cough as I walked closer to her desk. "Ah y/n, there you are. I had wondered if you had forgotten." she said finally looking up from her work, "I can come back at other time if your busy or can give you a hand" I replied. 

"No no don't worry, this is your time." she replied with a small smile, that warm fuzzy feeling started to occur within my stomach again. Fuck this women, that smile, those eyes, ugh. Giving a small laugh Lesso continued "so.. this first session I will simply test what you can do on command." giving a gentle nod we began the training. She made me lift different objects varying in size and weight, move objects across the room, at one point you even lifted her making you laugh and her look unimpressed. 

After the session was over you made your way back to Rafal. This is how the rest of the term went, every night you visited Rafal who had taught you more powerful magic and different techniques to go undetected. You could now go through the castle unnoticed using darkness and people's mind against them, although he had also taught you go to make sure self invisible. This made it easier to visit Rafal at night which Lesso had questioned several times where you went as she couldn't track you, seeming to annoy her as 'she see's everything' but you never gave up Rafal. Rafal had extended your knowledge of mind control which Lesso was resisted to give you any training on as it was 'too dangerous and you could use it for the wrong reason'.
