Going back to sleep was impossible, so I did the next best thing. Grabbing an already half empty bottle of tequila which I had added to Lesso alcohol cabinet, I popped the top of and empty the contexts into a large glass. I settled softly onto the balcony, curling my knees up to my chest clutching my glass of alcohol, the railings sending chills down by body along with the gentle breeze that surged through the air.

I summoned a cigarette with a flick of magic which appeared in between my fingers already lit, lovely. I alternated swiftly between a gulp of alcohol which glided down my throat and a puff from the cigarette, damaging my lungs in the long run but that was a future me problem.
The high pitched screams of a terrified girl ran through the air, it was faint signalling it was from the opposite school therefore not my problem. However curiosity still got the better of me as I allowed by eyes to scan the other school, I saw Dovey reader fall from her perch on one of the high ledges as she flew from the cupids chasing her. My eyebrows raised, hoping she was at least alright since it was quite a drop but she quickly sprung up and dusted herself off, a sigh of relief exciting my mouth.

Not a few moments later a small dove flew from the direction of the School for Good and perched itself upon my left knee, "Hello Little Onnnnnee" I whispered abit tispy removing the letter from its beak. I sighed in annoyance, not wanting to leave but dovey had written 'Meet me in the library. It's URGENT. - Clarissa', oh joy.

I changed from my pyjamas and grabbed a pair of cargos along with a hoodie and trainers, I teleported to the library causing Dovey to jump in shock at my new ability.
"You can teleport?" She questioned surprise tainting her voice, I wasn't sure If I should be offended at her lack of belief, "Yes, something I learnt over the summer" I stated boredom running through my tone. A few moments of silence gathered as I impatiently waited for Dovey to talk "Well what is it then? I got things to do." I snapped, my fingers loosely waving at my almost empty glass of tequila. "Oh right." Dovey responded watching my manner clearing concerned for my mental health but it was a regular occurrence, I just hadn't bothered to conceal it this time. "It's the readers" she continued earning a loud huff from me "They won't stop winning at their school placement. What if the school master did make a mistake?" She asked concerned.
"He didn't make a mistake. You know what that would mean, I'll never admit he did anything wrong. He would blame it on you Dove or on me." I stated using my cane to point at her chest as I did.

Dovey responded with a loud huff in annoyance, "I thought you'd be happy. Atleast you have a descent one, we're stuck with yet another underachiever" I complained at her, "Sophie of Gavaldon" I mocked. "What? What ever do you mean?" Dovey replied trying to act confused, "Pfft please, Evil hasn't won anything  in over 200 years."

"You've come close a couple times, Lesso was almost there" Dovey reassured, "Close doesn't cut it!" I shouted with anger, "Last year was just Evil fighting Evil and I still lost, greatly. I will just work the students twice as hard to keep the balance and make Leonora as proud as I can" I huffed annoyed at the conversation. Dovey gently placed her hand upon my shoulders rubbing them in a reassuring manner. "You always will" she whispered giving a soft smile.
"Now if you'll excuse me I have things to do and alcohol to drink" I stated as I returned to my usual manner, making my way to the door before harshly pulling it open and allowing it to slam with a loud thud.

Upon my walk back, I stumbled onto the bridge already downing another glass of tequila which was now replaced with a new bottle in your hand. Allowing yourself to slide down the wall where Lesso had died a few months previous, "Why did you have to leave me?" I whispered into the silence "I never wanted to be away from you" ghost Lesso responded. "But you did and now I'm alone in a world that I can bear to beat in" I stated as tears began to cloud my eyes, "I'm sorry" she whispered while I allowed my eyes to wonder to her transparent figure which rested upon the wall next to me.
