The day of ball had come sooner than you had realised, excited chirps had filled the hall from all the Evers however the Nevers merely groaned with annoyance. It was a Evers only ball no Nevers allowed with the exception of my self. Currently I was sat in the groom room staring at myself in the mirror as Dovey worked her magic, she was doing my makeup doing her best to cover up my dark circles using eyeshadow and eyeliner to make it blend in more. The whole make up look was very glammed up, I had harsh eyeliner wing which sat upon a black smokey eyeshadow a very glittery shadow was on my eyelids. She accompanied the look with jewellery my ears had dangers dangling off the lobes as well as an additional dagger through my cartilage however she had left my necklace which I refused to take off. My hair was lightly curled giving a soft wave while she also pinned the front pieces out my face creating a sort of crown around my head, placing a delicate black hairpiece at the back.

"You look wonderful Y/n, now time for the dress." she stated happily filled with abnormal excitement. Dovey herself wore I beautiful gold dress which sparkled every time it caught the light, it was a poofy princess dress with a glow corset tighten at her waist accentuating all her curves. Her hair was down, all her curls at full view a tiara placed upon her head which was yet agin gold. She pulled a black dress off the rack and quickly slid my body into the soft fabric, after a moment I finally looked in the mirror, she really did I wonderfully job I looked somewhat descent in my state. The dress itself was completly black glittering in the light similar to my eyeshadow, it has a sweetheart neckline and straps but but the back was fairly open, thin strap were crossing my skins tightening the dress itself. It flowed gracefully at the waist, falling all the way to my ankles a small slit staring at me knees to really make it pop. It was a beautiful dress, paired with a pair of black heels which straps wrapped around my calfs matching the back of the dress.

"Thank you Dovey, I look lovely as do you like always" I complemented her mouth formed a wide grin, "It shall began in a moment or two, i will allow you to make any adjustments you see fit and prepare yourself. I will be in the hall making sure everything perfect." She smiled warmly before practically skipping with excitement out the room. It took several moments to gather the energy to just get out the chair, let alone endure the evening, I set out at a slow pace making my way over to the end of the hall where stood a balcony overlooking the lake below. Sighing i watched the water ripple throughout the massive area, one cigarette won't hurt it will calm my mind if anything. As usual blue mist surrounded my finger tips leaving behind a cigarette already lit. I allowed my breathing to steady as i inhaled the smoke, eventually letting it escape between my parted lips, something about this night consumed my mind, Rafal hadn't been heard of since the Trial. What was he planning to unleash and when? Once the flickers of the flame began to tickle the inside of my mouth i gently grazed it against the edge of the railings before creating my magic to make the object disappear all together along with an lingering ash, Dovey would probably kill me if i left piles of ash all over the place.

One final breath and I departed my peaceful spot to endure a tormenting evening. By now i was already late but no one would notice or even miss me, the fairies gave me a slight nod before flapping their wings harshly tugging at the giant and i imagine very heavy doors. Suddenly to my surprise all eyes turn to me, music came to a sudden alt, the shocking attention made me gulp out of embarrassment mixed with fear. I quickened my pace to hide near the beverage table hoping everyones lingering eyes would just vanish, scanning the room i was startled to realise Dovey along with all the other teachers i knew weren't anywhere to be seen, only the ones who taught very little and did the bare minimum remained. "Where is Professor Dovey?" I questioned the person nearest to me who was on of the faculty, "Not too sure but she said there was urgent business to attend to, then hurried out the room" The man said with a kind smile plastering his face. "Oh thank you, I'm surprised she's missing this. It's one of the highlights of the year for the Evers." I remarked mind ticking with curiosity.
