Today was the day we were expected back at camp, after an unexpected weekend at Leah's parent's house I was ready to see the girls again.
A few of them had messaged to see if I was okay, I'm guessing they woke up the next morning and realised then that I wasn't there instead of realising the night before. In their defence, we all drank a lot and definitely all suffered the same the next morning.
Leah, Jacob, Amanda and I all ate breakfast together whilst David was at his office doing some last-minute work before the week started.
After spending a few days with the Williamson family it was so clear how much alike they all were, yet they were so different. Family was a huge thing to them and they all came together for big events such as Christmas or New Year's, yet they each had such strong personalities separately, one major thing being the teams they support.
For a household where half support Arsenal and half support Tottenham, they weren't argumentative about it, not in an unfriendly way anyway.
Breakfast was amazing, Amanda was a really talented cook and I thanked her profusely for every meal she cooked. I wasn't allowed to help clean up last night but this morning I was determined to help out and I was going to get my way.
When we were all finished eating I began collecting up the plates, obviously earning some no's and stop's from those around the table. But I ignored them and continued doing what I was doing. Leah took some plates out of my hand to stop me from getting to them, but this brought out my competitive side, as did hers.
I quickly grabbed the stack of plates before hastily moving into the kitchen so that she couldn't catch me, but Leah being Leah still tried. I had already made it to the kitchen with the plates when Leah caught up, causing her to shake her head at me.
"Why won't you listen to me, Robin?" Leah questioned, trapping me between her and the counter with her arms. Her tall stature towered over my small frame.
"Where's the fun in that" I responded, standing on my toes to kiss her, gaining a smile from her.
I helped Leah clean the kitchen before heading upstairs to get what we needed for camp, it was around a week and a half now until the opening match against Austria and luckily for me, the excitement had taken over my nerves.
Considering I came here very last minute it didn't take me long to get all of my stuff together, Leah on the other hand, looked like she had brought half of her things with her for a weekend trip.
Although it was only eleven am and we didn't have to be back until five we decided to head off early anyway and spend the day with the girls who were there.
Leah carried both of our things down, not letting me lift a thing, which I obviously thanked her for.
It was now time to say goodbye to Amanda and Jacob, but no doubt they would be following us around the country watching as many matches as they could.
"It was really lovely to meet you Amanda, thank you for having me" I was beyond grateful for this weekend, they invited me in with open arms knowing barely anything about me.
"Robin you are always welcome here, you have my number if you need anything you just call" Amanda hugged me tightly before moving on to Leah, allowing me to say my goodbyes to Jacob.
We began walking down the driveway to Leah's car when Amanda shouted.
"Leah!" We both turned around thinking one of us had left something.
But all Amanda did was nod, followed by Leah nodding back with a smile on her face. I had no idea what was going on but it was their conversation, well signal so I left it alone.
We were soon on our way back to camp and as much as I loved the weekend I had, I couldn't wait to see the girls.
When you spend so much time practically living with a group of people, you grow close and know when you go back to where you are staying they are going to be there, it's a nice feeling. Especially when you know if you have a problem there is always someone there that you can talk to and work it out with.
Soon we were pulling into camp, Leah never let me drive. I don't understand why, I am an amazing driver.
"I think you were missed" Leah chuckled, pointing to the entrance of the park.
There stood Ella and Lauren and a few people with cameras, I'm guessing the cameras were there to capture this truly comical moment of Lauren and Ella jumping around like children screaming my name.
"Who wouldn't miss me, you did" I replied, smiling at Leah who simply returned a wink in my direction.
When we pulled up I ran over to both of the girls who engulfed me in a hug.
"I thought you were only going for one night, Robin! Do you have any idea how annoying she is" Lauren laughed, pointing at Ella who was not best impressed?
"You are just as annoying" Ella stated, with the most sarcastic smile on her face.
"Missed me too? Your captain and all" Leah shouted, walking towards us with the bags in her hands.
"Of course Captain, how could we not" Ella joked, fake saluting in Leah's direction making me and Lauren burst out into laughter.
"Yeah yeah, come on," Leah said and we all made our way inside.
More girls continued to arrive throughout the day, each one joining us in the chill room. Ella and I were playing Fifa and everyone else was really just doing their own thing.
Once everyone had arrived back at camp, we had a meeting with Sarina, dinner then it was time to go back to our rooms as tomorrow was the start of the final preparations.
I had a quick shower and climbed into the bed with Leah, who began stroking my hair whilst spooning me and we both fell straight to sleep.
