Wally watched me scribble down information from the website, deciding to read it off to me so I didn't have to keep craning my neck up to read. I felt my hand cramping up so I stopped for a minute, turning my attention over to Wally who held a worried expression on his face.

"What's wrong, Wally?" I said, glancing back down to my notepad.

"I don't know if this is a good idea.. what if it finds out I told you and got involved in this. What if it hurts you-" he said, beginning a rant.

"Wally-" he cut me off,

"No, I can't let that happen. I won't let anything happen to you-" he continued, laughing slightly to himself.

"Wally!" I shouted, dropping the notepad and gripping the sides of his face to make him look at me.

"Nothing bad is going to happen to either of us, okay?" I said, giving him a tired smile.

He studied my face, showing clear signs of uneasiness. He opened his mouth to protest against further investigation, but without thinking, I quickly intertwined my fingers in the sides of his hair and pulled him in. Our lips collided, shutting him up in the process. It only lasted a few seconds but it was enough to turn the two of us bright red. I let go of him and stood up awkwardly.

I wasn't a fool, of course I knew Wally wasn't telling me everything. He couldn't. And though it bugged the part of me that hated him for being such a psychopath, I couldn't stop my want for him. He knew just the right things to say to make me want to believe there's more to him than just insanity. The mysterious element about him drew me in, trapping me like a fly in a web.

"C'mon, we need to go put up the evidence and sort this all out.. somehow." I said, looking towards the dark hallway.

I turned back to Wally, who had picked up my notepad and was holding it out for me to grab. I smiled and took hold of it, blushing as our fingertips touched but he had.. a blank expression. I shrugged it off and began making my way down the hall, hearing Wally's footsteps just behind me soon after. I walked into the dark room and flicked the light switch on, the room brightening up with a buzz.

"Wally, do you have a roll of red string?" I called out, studying the back wall we'd be using for the evidence.

In a split second, he was at my side with the string. I glanced over and smiled while taking it from him, beginning to plan out where exactly the evidence would go. I began tearing and taping some notes onto the wall, connecting strings between different points that could match up. I looked back over my shoulder, wanting to ask Wally what he thought but he wasn't there anymore. I turned around fully and noticed Wally seated in front of his easel, seeming lost in his art. I snorted and set the supplies onto the floor, beginning to make my way over to him.

"Whatcha painting, Wally?" I said, curiously shuffling next to him.

I blushed as I realized he was off to painting me again. He smirked and cocked his head forward as if he were telling me to get back to work, it seemed as if me working served as his current model. I rolled my eyes and walked back over to the wall, picking up my supplies then tearing out and hanging up the interrogation notes from both Julie and Eddie.

"You're so adorable. Did you know you stick your tongue out when you're focused?" Wally cooed flirtatiously from across the room, causing a rising heat to crawl up my neck.

As if planned, the sound of a radio was clicked on to the romance channel and Home dimmed the lights in the room.

"Home!" Wally and I both shouted at the same time, feeling embarrassed by the house's romantic setting.
