It's quiet. Very quiet. It's not the uncomfortable kind that makes you want to scream just to have some noise. It's the comfortable kind that allows you to just relax.

Today was Tokoyami's turn to take Bakugou out for the quest. Bakugou had had no idea where Tokoyami may take him, but he definitely was not going to complain about the turn out. He had chosen the library.

They may not be able to talk in a library, unlike the other places Bakugou had been taken to, but who needs to talk when you have a book in front of you? The books do all of the talking. You just have to listen to what they say and you will be entertained for hours.

Before going in, they decided to choose a book for each other to read while they were there. They set no restrictions on what they could choose, just that it had to be something they think the other would like. So the two of them took some time to scan the shelves. They split up, going to different sections and avoiding each other so their selection would remain a secret until they were ready for the reveal. After a while they met up at one of the tables with the book they had chosen.

Bakugou had chosen a murder mystery for Tokoyami. He remembered hearing him mention something during a movie night. It was something about how he always loved mysteries because it was fun to try and solve them before the big reveal. So he picked one that supposedly drew inspiration from real life cases. He figured that may provide the other boy with something interesting to research even after finishing the story.

Tokoyami had chosen a book on ancient battle strategies for Bakugou. He knew that Bakugou was always the one to come up with strategies when he had to be put in a team during training, so he thought Bakugou may enjoy learning some old ways people used to fight before quirks. Some may still be effective. Or Bakugou may be able to find a way to implement quirks into these techniques, and make them more powerful. They have team sparring tomorrow. If he gets the right team he might get to try some out. Both seemed to decide that a book that could entertain the other after they finish was the right choice.

Bakugou sets an alarm, making sure it's set to vibrate with the volume all the way down. Then they start reading their respective books. It wasn't hard for either to get immersed in the words on the pages. They had each done an excellent job finding something the other would be interested in.

Time passed by quickly as they both read. When the alarm started to vibrate on Bakugou's lap he was disappointed. Thankfully Tokoyami had warned him before they left that they would be heading to the library, so he had brought his card. After his quest tomorrow he would spend time studying the book and writing down some of the strategies.

Tokoyami was also a bit disappointed when the alarm went off. The mystery was interesting, and he was enthralled. He doubted he would get any sleep tonight, but he wasn't going to complain. The book was just that good.

As they walk to the bus stop, to wait for their ride back to school, Tokoyami starts explaining all of the interesting details he has read so far to Bakugou. The other boy listens while also thinking about how this is the most he could ever remember the usually quiet classmate talking. He felt a bit of pride at having been the one to bring this amount of chatter out of him.

The bus arrives and the driver asks how they enjoyed the library. Tokoyami was a bit unnerved earlier by how close Bakugou and the driver seemed. He was still confused by it, but less weirded out once he realized that this driver was who almost everyone in class who had gone with him was talking about.

They sit in the same seat as before, after Bakugou greets the bus driver, and Tokoyami goes back to talking about the mystery. His mind was already working to unravel it with the few details he already had.

As soon as they reached the stop for the school Tokoyami stops talking. He goes back to being the quiet boy Bakugou was used to. Dark Shadow, who had surprisingly stayed hidden throughout the whole quest, makes her appearance as well.

"You didn't finish telling me about the importance of the shirt button." Bakugou says while scanning his school ID at the gate. "You don't want to talk now that we're at school?"

"He doesn't like talking much around a lot of people." Dark Shadow says, immediately ratting on her host. Tokoyami glares at his shadow, but nods to say she is correct.

Bakugou thinks back to when they were on the bus. There were in fact significantly less people than usual. And the library is a place that doesn't require talking, and has few people. He had been wondering why the library.

"I can understand that. Sometimes I also don't like talking around a lot of people." Bakugou says. "Lucky for you, your quirk does enough talking for the both of you."

Tokoyami forms what can only be described as a smile which dissolves into a small laugh. Meanwhile Dark Shadow twists around, making overdramatized exclamations of how much Bakugou's words hurt. Her antics only make the boys laugh harder.

They barely are able to contain themselves before making it to their dorm building. Tokoyami thanks him before they enter, which takes Bakugou by surprise. He wasn't able to ask what the gratitude was for though. Tokoyami had gone in before he could, and he wasn't going to ask when others were around. So instead he just made his way upstairs to make note of the details of the quest like he had for everyone else. He'd ask about it next time he was paired with Tokoyami.
