Points and Talks: Part 3 (Next Quest)

    Kaminari eagerly sat on Bakugou's bed, ready to hear his points. His hands immediately find their way to something to mess with to release the nerves he had. What they found was the weird muscle frog toy they won at the arcade during his quest.

    "It's on your bed? I half expected it to end up in the closet." Kaminari says. "You sleep with Froggo?"

    "You are not here to discuss the frog." Bakugou says. His cheeks had formed a pinkish hue at having been caught. He forgot to hide the toy, and since no one else mentioned it it hadn't even come close to crossing his mind.

    "Right. So how many points do I have for helping you win the frog?"

    "They're not all for one specific thing. Only some of them are for completing your quest. You should understand that since you play games a lot." Bakugou grumbles the last part. Then he looks at the paper. "18. You have 18 points."

    "Sweet! I'm above the starting line. I like one hundred percent expected to be below it." Kaminari says as he continues to play with the toy.

    Even when having a conversation about something that could very well lead to their entire future changing he was not completely serious. For some reason Bakugou couldn't get annoyed though. He knows Kaminari well enough to know that he's at least taking in the important information. To him it's just important that he's not eliminated.

    "You were below it at one point. Like over half of everyone on this list was below it at one point. But you managed to claw your way back up. So I applaud you for that." Bakugou says. "Now go get Kirishima for me. I'm almost done with this, and once I finish I'll be able to announce the next quest so you guys can start thinking about it."

    "Ooh! Quest announcements are today? Bet!" Kaminari drops the toy and rushed to get Kirishima

    Kirishima must have been waiting. He entered the room before Bakugou could even mentally adjust for him. And, as expected, his bed once again became a seat. Four for four.

    "Kaminari says we need to hurry this along so we can get to the quest announcements, so hit me bro." Kirishima says.

    Well, at least he was ready to be quick with it, unlike with Kaminari. Still, he couldn't really fault Kaminari. He hasn't exactly hung out with them since the whole competition started, other than during their quests. So Kaminari most likely viewed this as his rare chance to get some time with his friend. Just thinking about it that way made him feel a little guilty.

    "You are currently standing at 18 points yourself." Bakugou says.

    He was actually surprised that Kaminari and Kirishima had the exact same score. He did the math multiple times to check, and each time the results were the same. Both got 18 points.

    "Not too bad! I'm at least higher than where we started, right?"

    And now he realizes why. They may have different energies, with Kirishima being more relaxed than Kaminari, but they share the same brain cells. How could he have forgotten that one simple fact.

    "You do realize this is a contest, right. The goal isn't to just be above the line. It's to be the best." Bakugou says.

    "The way you have it set up actually suggests that it's a last man standing thing. You didn't say that it's the first to so many points. You just said that we can't reach zero." Kirishima says.

    Bakugou wheels his chair to his desk and pulls out the notebook with the rules. He reread them multiple times.

Points are awarded based on (list of things that earn them points).
Points will be taken away if (list of things that will lose them points).
Points can be traded in for dates.
Participants can ask what their points are at any time.
Participants can drop out at any time.
Participants are disqualified if they reach zero.
Once it is down to five participants those five unlock perks such as (list of perks)
