The third and final meeting with the teachers. Well, meeting for the first set of quests at least. Just like last time he showed up to refreshments. Notebook in hand, and exhaustion on his face. He had woken up sore this morning and was not looking forward to this meeting.
The teachers gave him a few minutes to prepare himself. They knew too well the what the look in his eyes meant. As teachers, and heroes, they had seen it in the mirror themselves often.
After downing a whole cup of coffee, provided by Mr. Aizawa himself, Bakugou opened up his notebook to day eleven. The day he went out with Kaminari.
"Oh yeah. I started with Dunce Face this week." He says.
Somehow that felt like ages ago to him. How did the four days that spanned between now and then drag so long? Especially considering when he was living in those days they seemed to go too fast. It's crazy what exhaustion does to the brain.
"Uh, he took me to the arcade. That was fun. We worked together to win an ugly toy frog that has abs." Bakugou explains.
None of the teachers had been expecting anything Bakugou had just said. Kaminari loving the arcade made sense, but the rest was a very quick rollercoaster. The way Bakugou just deadpanned the words "that was fun," had them shaken up. He admitted to working with Kaminari. He has worked with the boy in the past, but that was only during training. Outside of training it wasn't expected. The most disturbing part of it all had to be the description of what they worked together for though.
"You boys willingly worked to earn an ugly frog with abs?" Thirteen questions. Bakugou nods and takes out his phone.
He had taken a picture at the bus stop with the frog toy, and his spikey orange ball. Kaminari had been holding his ball while Bakugou held up the abbed up frog.
"I can't believe that thing exists in this world and is now on school grounds." Midnight says. However Present Mic and Vlad start laughing. Both seem to love the abomination.
"Please tell me there's another one at that arcade." Vlad King says. Bakugou tells him there isn't, but the hero doesn't give up. He immediately starts googling to find one online.
"Ok. Next place before those two do something stupid." Power Loader says.
Bakugou swipes to the next picture and they see Kirishima on a rather difficult looking rock wall. Before Bakugou can explain where it is, Aizawa says it.
"Isn't that the indoor adventure place that has the overhead balance course and zipline?"
"Yeah. How the hell did you know just from that picture? There are like three rock climbing places in town." Bakugou says.
"Shouta and I used to go there when we were in school." Mic says.
"Oh yeah. I remember. You two used to make these bets, but you'd lose on purpose ju-" Midnight is immediately silenced by Mic's hand.
"How about you continue explaining, Young Bakugou?" All Might says.
"Uh, right. Well we did some of the climbing challenges, and then made the elevated obstacle course into a race to see who gets to the zipline first. He beat me." Bakugou says.
He wasn't going to explain that the only reason he lost is because Kirishima got scared on the last obstacle so he coached him through while staying behind to watch him though. They didn't need to know that.
"Wow. Impressive. With how he did in the disaster area training, I'm not surprised." All Might says, using the very example that helped Bakugou convince Kirishima he was fine.
"Shouji was next." Bakugou says, continuing his recap of the week so he could finish quickly. "We didn't even leave campus. He said he got permission to go to the roof from Principal Nedzu."
"Indeed. He did." The rat that runs this school says.
"It was a rather pleasant evening. Especially since the previous two were so high energy. It ended quickly after some talking though." Bakugou explains. Then he turns the page. "Next was the library with Tokoyami."
"A library? Never would have guessed that any of my students, other than Iida, would have the library as their favorite place. I guess Momo probably would too." Aizawa says.
"For your information I also enjoy reading." Bakugou says. Now that really shocked the teachers. They knew he was smart, but they figured he had too much energy to sit down and read a full book. "Oh don't be surprised. Anyways, Bird Brain and I picked out a book for each other. He chose an interesting one for me about quirkless combat strategies. I gave him a murder mystery based on real murders. Both of us put our library cards to use."
"You kids worry me sometimes." Midnight says.
"Hey! The combat book came in handy during training yesterday." Bakugou defended himself. The teachers mutter something about not being surprised that he actually used the information he found, but he ignored them. "And then yesterdays! Jirou's was really fun."
"Jirou's was fun?" Hound Dog asks. All he knew about her was that she was one of the least problematic children in Class 1A.
"Yeah. We spent the evening dancing to some music at her parents store. We have similar taste when it comes to music, so of course I liked it. Anyways, that was this weeks quest. I'm going to take some time off to catch up on some studying, and plan the next quest." Bakugou explains.
"That sounds smart. Especially since finals are getting closer. Maybe pick a quest that won't take up so much of your time." Aizawa says.
"I was planning on it."
Bakugou closes his notebook and stands up to leave. He was ready to get back to his dorm and take some much needed time to himself. Thankfully most of his potential suitors were gone for the day. He didn't need to worry about them bothering him, which was a good thing. He had a lot of math to do to tally up all of the quest points.
