After we told our names to each other, we took our respective stances. Ruel was taking the stance of a swift swordsman—swift swordsmanship is one of the ten types of swordsmanship; this type of swordsmanship relies on speed and agility to finish their opponent. The stance was like that of track and field runners before they run, but the difference was that his hands weren't on the floor but instead held his sword.

While he's waiting for the right timing to attack, I'm also waiting for the right timing to counterattack. After a minute, he finally made a move, running towards me at a fast speed, but I knew that it was not his original speed because I could see that he'd got an injury in his left leg. Maybe Chris did it. I thank Chris for injuring his leg because I might die if not for that. As he ran towards me, I cast a spell.

"Water shield!"             I shouted, then a wall of water appeared in front of him.
"Vertical slash!"             He shouted, and then the wall of water got slashed in half.
"No matter how many shields you make, I'll cut them down until I reach you," he said.

He's right             He can cut my water shields at the same time I cast them, and it's only a matter of time until he reaches me. I must make a decision right now: will I take the risk or just wait until he reaches me? Of course I'll take the risk; I don't want to die without a fight.

As he continued to run towards me, I also ran in that direction. He got surprised for a second but smiled after that.

"It seems like you are a gutsy brat," he said.
"Yeah, because I won't let you just kill me easily," I said, then ran towards him when I was in his sword range. He prepared to activate his skill.
"Sharp nail!"             He shouted, then his speed doubled, and he targeted my body.
"Wind repel!"             I shouted, then his sword stopped, as if there were an invisible shield protecting my body.

He jumped backwards, but I also jumped forward, so he couldn't escape.

"Sonic boom!"             I shouted, then a blade of slicing wind suddenly appeared and was heading towards him.
"Spinning shield!"             He shouted, then his arm and sword spun at a rapid speed, and my sonic boom suddenly disappeared after hitting it.

"You're not bad for a brat, but this is the end, and I will be honest, you're a good opponent," he said, then started to activate his skill.
"Snake bite!"             He shouted, then his sword, which was just spinning a moment ago, suddenly thrusted to my side. It was supposed to be to my heart, but, thanks to my instinct, I stepped sideways before it hit me.

Snake bite is an intermediate swordsmanship skill that is the improved version of "sharp nail." This skill is faster than a sharp nail, and it's much stronger too. The only drawback from this skill is that if you ever miss the target, it will make your defense wide open for attack because, in exchange for more speed, the body will only focus on how to be faster and won't care about anything else. That's why it will make the user wide open for attacks, and that's why this move is only used as a finishing move when you're sure that you can kill or defeat your enemy.

"Aaaarrrggghhhhhh!'             I shouted that my sides were bleeding because of the sword thrust that hit my sides.
"Huh?   "          "It didn't hit you in the heart?" "You're one lucky bastard, but don't worry, I'll surely end you with this next skill," he said with confidence, then tried to pull the sword from his body, but before he could pull it, I held his hand that was holding the sword to make sure that he wouldn't be able to escape.

"Wind slice!"             I shouted, then a gust of cutting wind appeared and headed towards the arm that I was holding, but before it hit him, he jumped backwards and let go of his sword that was thrust into my side.

"This is your biggest mistake," I said, then took the sword from my side and took my stance.
"Oh, you can use a sword too?" What a great kid you are, but do you think I would believe it? "Do you think I'm a fool to believe a magician can use a sword too?" He said

I must end this quickly. I have already lost so much blood, and my will is the only thing that is keeping me standing.

"Do you think you can beat me because my sword was taken from me?" "Then you're mistaken; I have a spare here," he said, then took a short sword from inside his coat.
"You've lost too much blood; can you really still fight in that condition?" "Let me just kill you; I promise I will not make it hurt," he said.
"I'm sorry, but I'll pass," I said, then started to run towards him.
"You still pretend that you can use a sword?" "I already saw through your lies," he said, then ran toward me too.

I can only do this move once, because right now he doesn't believe that I can use a sword skill, so I must succeed in defeating him with it.

"Water arrow!"             I shouted, then three waves of arrows appeared and headed in his direction.
"Spinning shield!"             He shouted then started to spin his arm and short sword at a rapid speed, and it blocked my arrows.
"Water arrow!"            I shouted and cast arrows again.
"Spinning shield!"             He shouted, then blocked it again.

We continued that exchange until I finally reached the point where he was in my sword range.

"Sonic boom!"             I shouted, then a blade of slicing wind suddenly appeared and headed in his direction.
"Spinning shield!" he shouted, then blocked it again.
"How many times do you want to do it?" "I'm already getting bored," he said after blocking my sonic boom.
"Don't worry, I'll end it here," I said, then jumped towards where he was.
"Are you insane?" He got surprised that I jumped towards him, but he then started to activate a skill.
"Sharp nail!"             His speed doubled, and he targeted my heart.
"Wind repel!"            I shouted while I was in the air, then blocked his attack.
"I will end it here now," I said before activating a skill.
"Horizontal arc," I shouted, and the sword that I was holding made a perfect horizontal arc, and in its path, one of his hands was there; that's why it flew when it was sliced.
"Aaaaaaaaarrrrrggggh!"        he shouted.
"My hand!             My haaaaaaaaand!"             He continued

I need to finish this while he's panicking, so I cast a spell.

"I can't help myself from killing you; that's why I'll just do it," I said.
"Water ball!"             I shouted, then a ball of water appeared and headed in his direction, hitting his face directly. My water ball was not like in the past, where it didn't do any damage; it was now as hard as a rock if it hit, which is why it makes him unconscious.

Now I should head toward where Father and Chris are. I started to walk, but my body is swaying while I walk because I lost too much blood. I should hurry, or I might die if I don't get treated quickly. With that in mind, I continue to walk upstairs, and when I reach the first floor, I start searching for Father, but he's not here. Instead, there are eight men guarding the door that is leading outside, and when they saw me, they got surprised and started to head towards me with swords in their hands, but before they reach me, more men come from the second floor and are running. When they saw me, they smiled. After that, I don't know what happened because I fell to the ground and became unconscious.
