I woke up before the bell made a sound, and so I decided to practice my magic outside. After practicing for about half an hour, the bell finally rang, and so I decided to wake my roommates up.

"Hey everyone, wake up! Haven't you heard the sound of the bell?" I shouted.

"Will? It's so early; why are you being so loud?" Tyiyn said.

"Today is the start of classes, so wake up now or we'll be late," I said.

"That's right, I completely forgot about it. Thank you, Will," Tork said, then started to leave his bed.
"Raiden, wake up!" Tork said, then started to shake Raiden until he woke up.

When everyone finally woke up, the four of us first went to the cafeteria to have breakfast. The class would start after the bell rang again, so we had to hurry to finish eating on time.

After we finished eating, the bell finally rang, which means the classes are starting now and we need to get there in 20 minutes. The four of us stood and decided to leave the cafeteria.

"Guys, what class are you taking today?" Tork asked.

"I'll take the swordsmanship class," I answered.

"Me too!" Tyiyn followed suit.

"I'll also take a swordsmanship class," Raiden said.

"Is that so? So I'm the only one who will get separated," he said with a nervous look.

"You're taking the fire magic class, right?" I asked.

"That's right, and I feel nervous; what if they learn that I don't have any experience in fire magic and I've come from an ordinary family and not from a family of soldiers?" he explained.

He really loves overreacting and overthinking. I can understand him because this is a new environment for him, but he's overthinking too much.

"Hahahahaha, you're overthinking again," Raiden said, placing his hand on Tork's shoulder.

"That's right, don't think too much about it; just do what you always do!" Tyiyn said.

"If you need help about something, you can always ask us; we're friends after all," I said.

"You guys, Thank you! I'll do my best," he said, then started to head to the fire magic classroom.

"He's overreacting again," I said, and then the three of us laughed at the same time.

After Tork left, the three of us started to head to the training field, where the swordsmanship lesson would be held.

While walking, I saw Chris with her friends, maybe heading to the classroom too.

"Guys, you can go ahead; I'll just talk to Chris for a minute," I said.

"Okay, just don't be late; instructor Gord looks scary," Raiden said.

"Yeah, I know," I said, then headed towards Chris.

Chris saw me coming to her, so she stopped walking and waved her hand. Her three other friends who are with her looked at me too.

"Chris, are you heading to the classroom?" I asked.

"Yeah, I chose the fire magic class. I already mastered the beginner water magic spells, so I thought I should also train on my other magic attribute," she explained.
"And you Will? what class did you choose?" She asked.

"I chose the swordsmanship class," I answered.

"Didn't you already master the beginner skills?" She asked.

"Yeah, but it's still not enough to fight an average swordsman one-on-one without using magic," I explained.

While I'm talking, Chris's friends are listening to our conversation; maybe they're wondering who I am. That's why I introduced myself.

"Goodmorning everyone, sorry for the late introduction. My name is Will, Chris's childhood friend. Please continue being friends with her." I introduced myself.

"You're being formal again, Will!" Chris said to me.

Eh? Is that right? Isn't that how a normal person introduces himself?

I look at them, and they're really not feeling comfortable. Maybe they're thinking about what they're supposed to say.

"Nice to meet you guys; my name is Will, and Chris and I are childhood friends." I introduced myself in a less formal way.

"My name is Lana; nice to meet you too, Will," said the dark-haired girl with glasses.

"I'm Lucia; nice to meet you too," Lucia said, then bowed her head.

Lucia has long brown hair, and she looks like a modest type of person. After Lucia, the three of us look at the red-haired girl, who hasn't introduced herself yet. She gave a look that said "what a pain" before she introduced herself.

"My name is Crestia; nice to meet you," she said.
"Is that okay? Let's go now or we'll be late," she said to the girls.

"Then, Will we will go to the classroom now, See you later?" Chris said.

"Yeah, see you later," I said, then waved my hand towards them. Chris, Lana, and Lucia wave back to me, but Crestia just continues walking. Does she hate me?

After they left, I also made my way towards the training field. I got there in time, but instructor Gord isn't around yet, so I make my way towards Raiden and Tyiyn, then chat with them until instructor Gord and other teachers finally arrive.

Instructor Gord ordered us to form a line of 10 consisting of twenty students per line. There are a total of 400 first-year students, and 203 of those are swordsmen. There are also people like Raiden and me who have a talent for swordsmanship and an affinity for magic, so there are only 170 or so students today, but it is really a huge number, so they will divide us and make five sections.

"My name is Gord, and I am the head instructor for swordsmanship. We will divide all of you into five sections, but first, those who already can activate a swordsmanship skill should raise their hands," instructor Gord said.

I immediately raised my hand, and Raiden and Tyiyn also raised their hands. So they can also activate swordsmanship skills.

"All those who raised their hands, come here and make a line," instructor Gord said, and then the three of us started to head towards where instructor Gord said to make a line.

There are a total of 16 including us who can activate swordsmanship skills, and so we make a line after that, and instructor Gord heads towards us. He first started to count us, and after that, he finally spoke.

"The 16 of you, follow me, you will be the first section," he said.
"For all of you, follow the instructions of instructor Logen about the division of other sections. That's all," he said in a loud voice so all of us first-year students could hear.
"Now let's go," he said to us, and then he started walking. The 16 of us followed him while still forming a line.
