Swearing
____________________________________She slammed her hand hard down onto the table, her frazzled hair poking into her face, "Are you fucking kidding me? You're joking me right? How the fuck did you lose a fucking lead?"
"Marlene please I don't know! Pandora was on it too! Ask her not me!" The girl groaned and placed her head onto the table with a dull thud.
Pandora scoffed and glared at Dorcas, "I'll have you bloody well know I don't have a clue how we lost it either, weren't you the one telling us we practically solved the case?"
This statement made Dorcas snap her head up, standing up to meet Pandora's eyes, braids cascading down her shoulders. "I said once we get them, the case would be practically solved, don't twist my words."
"Well maybe if we fucking got them—"
Pandora was cut off by the heavy slam of paper onto the table beside them, sheets spilling out with images of a curly-haired boy, "James Potter, the son of Euphemia and Fleamont potter,"
Dorcas raised her eyebrows in surprise, "The F1 drivers?"
Marlene nodded once, continuing on "Spotted at the race on Wednesday, a flag-boy." She took more pictures out, and both girls leaned over for a closer look.
There were two grainy pictures of James, one next to an almost sheet-white red haired girl, and the other is him talking to a brown haired boy, with a flag in his hand.
Dorcas hummed and tapped the first picture, "The girl's fit."
Marlene made a disgusted face and snatched the picture back, "God can you not?"
Rolling her eyes, Pandora took the second picture and looked at it closer, "His parents were F1 drivers?" She looked expectantly at Dorcas.
"Mhm, both drove for Gryffindor, highest paying racers in their day, I'm surprised James is even on our table right now, what is he doing working for illegal races?" She sits down and leans back.
"We're looking into that, we heard talk of perhaps a scandal with the youngest black brother." Marlene grabbed a red pin from the stationary box on the table, and placed the paper in her hand up onto the board, "If we can't get our hands on Regulus, then maybe we can get our hands on James."
Pandora dragged her chair back, and then sat in it slowly, still grasping the paper, "Are his parents aware?"
Marlene shook her head slowly, turning back, "I'll call them later and let them know we plan to take him in for questioning—"
"No, if his parents know what we want to do, who's stopping them from informing James we're onto the races? That'll completely blow our fucking element of surprise." Pandora stated angrily, cutting her off.
Dorcas crossed her arms and looked at her suspiciously, "Then what are you suggesting we do?"
Marlene waited for Pandora's answer, "I'm suggesting we don't tell his parents, we arrest him on suspicion of illegal street racing, and then we take him into questioning, that way he's not prepared and we have a higher chance of getting information out of him."
The room was silent, processing Pandora's plan, it seemed reasonable, telling his parents would only let more people know about the case as a whole.
Dorcas spoke up first, uncrossing her arms and placing them onto the table, "Then that's that."
"That's that." Marlene repeated back, nodding.

"Tell me you got something."
Pandora rolled her eyes at the man on the phone, flicking the ash off her cigarette, "Yes, I got something."
There was a rustle and a scribble on the other side, "And?"
She took a drag, waiting a beat before replying, "They're not on our path anymore, they're going after James."
The scribbling paused, "James?"
"Potter. James Potter."
The scribbling started back up again, "Is he involved?"
Pandora looked around, flicking the cigarette again, "A flag-boy, supposedly in contact with Regulus Black."
The man chuckled, "Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant, anymore?"
"Just because we're off their radar for now doesn't mean they won't be on us again, we need to be more careful."
The man's laughter had died down, an eery silence followed, "I'll decide when and where we need to be more careful at Pandora, you're job is to get information."
The girl chewed at her nails anxiously, scanning the police building, a group of talking officers had started to walk out, "Look I've got to go, is this good for now?"
"It's grand." He stated dryly, hanging up on the girl before she could reply.
"Fucking dick." She spat, looking up as one of the officers gaped in offence. Pandora rolled her eyes at the woman and dropped the cigarette, stomping it with her black boots, "Not you, move."
The woman scrambled back up to the rest of her colleagues and didn't look back at her, she sighed and held herself with her arms.
