Day 1:

"Vanessa, who are staring at?" Your one friend asks. You shake out of your trance and stare ahead at your locker

"Ew, you're not staring at the weird kid again, are you?" Your other friend asks, allowing her eyes to scan towards Luke Hemmings.

He was the complete opposite of you. Extremely smart, an outsider, and a small time musician, yet you were madly in love with him. You loved the way he talked when you asked him about math problems or the way he played his guitar and sang in music class. You loved everything about him, but unfortunately pursuing that love would end up with you committing social suicide.

"Luke, who the hell are you staring at?" Luke hears his friend's words, but can't seem to pull his gaze away from the beautiful girl standing across the hallway from him. Her two friends, who seem more interested in their looks than getting to class on time, surround her.

"Again?" Calum asks him. "Jeez, I thought we went through this about a thousand times." He exasperated. Luke finally pulls his gaze from the gorgeous brunette girl, whom had no idea in the world who Luke was, and turned to his locker. "Listen, we know you like her. But you gotta stop wasting your time on her, alright? She has no idea you even exist. So grab your guitar and let's get the hell out of here."

Day 3:

Last class of the day was by far your favorite. It was your favorite because Luke happened to be sitting right beside you the whole step of the way; unfortunately, it was also math class. You had happened to be in class way before anyone else arrived, odd for your normal behavior, and was waiting patiently for someone to enter. When the door swung open, you didn't really think it was anyone but your teacher, so you didn't look up from your phone.

"Hey." You quickly pry your eyes off the text message you had just received to see Luke standing behind his chair. You suck in a breath and put the coolest look on your face you can muster up.

"Hi." You say with a small smile before looking down at your phone again, this time in panic. This was the first time the two of you had actually spoken to each other over something that wasn't math related. Just talk to him like any other boy, you're good at that. You take a deep breath and stick your phone into your backpack. "I'm Vanessa by the way." Luke jumps at the sound of your voice, looking up from his notebook lying on the shared table.

"Uh, Luke Hemmings. No, its just Luke." He sighed and shook his head, looking as if he wanted to mentally hit himself in the face, "You can call me Luke." You laugh at the awkwardness he had created for himself and saw his features lighten up.

"Alright, Luke it is."

Day 5:

Over the past two days you hadn't done a very good job of talking with Luke, mostly because after the first interaction the awkward tension between you to doubled in size. But today you were just so fed up with it. You wanted to talk to him, invite him over to your place. Your friends were throwing a huge party at one of their houses and you didn't feel like going. Hopefully, Luke wouldn't mind coming over for a quiet night.

You sit in math, early again, and tap your pen nervously against the tabletop. When the door opens, five minutes before class, Luke's body pops in the doorway. His uniform, though similar to all the other boys here, really brought out his sexy. That was the simplest way you could put it.

"Hey Luke." You say with a big grin. He smiles over at you and takes a seat by your side.

"Hi Vanessa." He replies, throwing his math book and notebook down on the table.

"I have a question for you." You come right out and say, knowing if you thought about it further you'd never ask. Luke takes his seat and leans back in his chair, fumbling with his lip ring with his teeth. He seems to be nervous, but you don't know why.

"Okay. I actually have something to ask you as well." Your face lights up and you feel your cheeks burn. Luke clears his throat and smiles over at you. "But, ladies first."

"I know this is gonna sound really weird coming from me but would you, um, would you like to come over to my place tonight and hang out." You finally blurt out, closing your eyes and bracing for the impact of a no. But it never came.

"Are you serious?" You open your eyes, meeting Luke's eyes with yours.

"Well, yeah." A large smile came to Luke's lips, but he immediately got rid of it and shook his head, trying hard not to smile so widely.

"Sure, I mean I'm not doing anything." You smile and nod your head.

"Okay, it's a date."
