Ashton:
"Tell me again why they didn't shot that guy?" Ashton asks as he stares hopelessly up at the television across the room. It was taking everything in him not to shut it off and do something more fun with you, but you were enjoying it so he stayed silent.
"Because, he holds the key into finding her son." You answer, glancing over at Ashton. His eyes roll annoyingly to the side before focusing back on the TV. "You know if you don't want to watch this we can do something else." You say before shutting off the TV and throwing the remote down onto the couch beside you.
Just as silence begins to fill the house, the two of you hear cries coming from outside. Ashton looks to you with a confused look on his face while you try and focus on the location of the cries.
"You hear the crying, right?" He asks, looking around the room before getting up off the couch.
"Yeah, I hear them." You stand from the couch as well and follow Ashton as he nears the front window. The cries grew louder as you approached the front of the house. "What the he-"
"Shhh!" Ashton shushes you as he steps in front of the door. He extends an arm out to protect you as if the crying was coming from a killer.
"Oh for crying out loud!" You exclaim when Ashton hadn't made much of a dent in getting the front door open. You swing the door wide and stare down at the ground in shock. "Oh my God!" Your hands come to your face when you faced with a crying baby curled up in a dirty, damp purple blanket.
"What is- holy shit?" Ashton says, diving for the ground in a way you've never seen him move, including pushing you out of the way to get to the baby. You stand in shock while Ashton scoops the crying child up in his arms.
Twenty minutes later you and Ashton are both standing in the steaming bathroom with a newborn baby. Her cries have subsided and the only noise being produced was coming from the hot shower that was on strictly for steam purposes. You could not believe the kind of people that would leave a child on someone's doorstep; anger was present as was confusion, sadness, shock, and more anger.
"What do we do now?" You finally ask your boyfriend of three years.
Ashton gazes over at you as if there weren't enough muscles in his body to pry his eyes off the small, sleeping infant. He hadn't let her go since scooping her frail body from the doorstep.
"We keep her."
Calum:
"So you've been hanging with my ex all day, all day; you don't say/ Thanks, For taking what I threw away/ I ain't fazed/ Y'Play these little games such a joke/ Ain't even tuned into your show/" You sing as you dance around the kitchen preparing dinner for later tonight.
Your boyfriend, Calum, had just returned from tour and was now spending hours on end at the studio. The least you could do was prepare dinner.
As you place the chicken into the oven the front door bell rings a couple times before falling into silence. You look down at your watch, seeing that it was about time for Calum to return. Did he forget his keys, you wonder as you travel to the door. You pull the wooden frame open, your eyes meeting... nothing.
"Hello?" You question, looking right and left. A small noise coming from the ground gathers your attention and a gasp leaves your lips when you see what's before. "Holy-" Your voice fades into silence as you crouch down before the small infant. "Who the hell-?" You're interrupted by the baby letting out a loud cry.
