A/N: So sorry I haven't posted in a while on this book. Please check out my 5SOS Fan Fictions, I'll love you even more than I already do <3
Ashton:
You sit out on the balcony in the pouring rain, admiring the calmness of it all. The over hang of the balcony above yours keeps your body dry, but allows just enough to splash down before you. You inhale through your nose, taking in the fresh scent of a stormy night. From behind you, you hear the door slide open and a chuckle come from Ashton's lips.
"How'd I know you'd be out here?" You pry your eyes from the rain for a millisecond and pat the chair beside you. Ashton leaves the doorway and takes a seat beside you. You pat his leg once before returning your eyes to the scenery.
"Isn't this peaceful?" Ashton chuckles and wraps an arm around your shoulders.
"It sure is."
Calum:
"Come on Y/N." Calum says before swinging you over his shoulder and carrying you out of the house. You playfully scream as the cold rain hits your body, immediately drenching you.
"Calum!" You yell as he puts you down on the ground and laughs over at you. There was no use running back in the house now that you were completely soaked. "You're gonna get it." You threaten as you run after him. Your feet slosh in the puddles and your clothes stick to your body against your will.
Suddenly a flash of lightning fills the sky, following by the sound of thunder. Your eyes get wide as Calum and you stare at each other. He grabs your hand and pulls you back into the house.
"It would all be fun 'til one of us gets hit by lightning."
Luke:
"L-Luke, are you awake?" He stirs in his sleep and mumbles something to you as his hand touches your side. You bite your lip with embarrassment, nearly jumping out of your skin when the thunder crashes loudly outside your window. "Luke." Suddenly, he stirs completely awake and looks over at you.
"What's wrong?" His voice is deep with sleep.
"I'm sorry, this is gonna sound so stupid and everything but-" You take a deep breath to get the shakiness to disappear, "I'm terrified of storms." Luke immediately pulls you into his embrace and holds you against him.
"I can fix this." He says, rolling over and grabbing his pair of heavy duty, noise cancelling headphones of the bedside table. He places them over your ears, turns them on, and then connects his phone, pressing play on his nighttime playlist. He pulls one headphone from your ear so you can hear him. "Better?"
"Much." You whisper before he snuggles up against you until you fall asleep once again.
Michael:
Michael and you lay in bed together, your eyes glued out the window to your side. The rain pitter-patters against the windowpane, creating sound in the middle of the night. You lay in Michael's embrace, cuddling closer to him as you watch the rain fall.
"What's so special about the rain that you always watch it?" Michael asks in a whisper before pecking the side of your head. You shrug your shoulders and snuggle further into him.
"I don't know. It makes me feel alive." You answer. You feel Michael smile against you. Silence falls between you two again, allowing you to listen to the sounds of the rain and Michael's heart beating in his chest. Those were the sounds that reminded you that you were alive, each and every day.
