"Leyla rose jackson get your ass down here right now!"

Damn this boy has no chill. All I want to do is sit in my room and listen to music while I'm waiting for my food, but jace won't let that happen, he's always so grumpy.

Maybe he's on his period?

...

"all I did was put a pot noodle in there." I mutter, looking at the smoky kitchen, while feeling his glare on me. Apparently you can't put a pot noodle in the microwave.

"you must be stupid. If your gonna use the microwave to cook them, you have to put water in it first, are you thick?"

rude. I am not thick. Unless he's talking about my bum- cuz that's nice and big- but that would be weird- since he's my brother. I chuckle at the thought to myself, but he clearly doesn't think I'm funny.

"your buying a new microwave." He groans, it's not like he can't afford to buy a new one, he always has money everywhere I swear, he won't tell me what he does for work though, just says it's a local business. I need to get into it and get myself some of what he's earning, cuz right now I have like no money. Well I will have none after buying a new damn microwave.

"are you a stripper?" I blurt out.

"I am. do I look like one?" He rolls his eyes, "why do you come out with the most random things leyla. your so weird."

oops?

"you almost just burnt down the kitchen, and now your asking if I'm a stripper? What's going on inside that tiny brain of yours. If there is one in there."

I punch his arm at his remark, obviously not hard, since I know he would hit back harder.

" I most definately do have a brain. It's very big actually, just like your ego." I smirk, quite proud of myself for thinking of that.

He sighs in defeat, proving to me that I've won this fight. He knows he'll never win anyways, since I just cry- then he feels bad and I win all over again.

"Just go to your room, I'll clean up, as always." He rolls his eyes, and I turn around and start to walk off in triumph, until I walk into something.

ouch.

"who put a door there-" I groan, rubbing my head, turns out it wasn't a door though, it was a boy, well- a man. A very big man-

I look up at him to see him towering over me, looking at me like I'm some child.

"watch where your going kid." He mutters. A kid? Really? I look like a darn kid??

I cross my arms and look up at him, giving him my best scary look. "I am in fact not a kid. I'm 17. Thank you very much." Who does he think he is, coming into my home and acting like a tough dude, and then calling me a kid?

He just pushes me out of the way in annoyance, walking over to my brother.

rude.

"Leyla this is grey, he's going to be staying here for a few days, until things cool down." Jace says, after a few awkward minutes of silence.

"What do you mean, cool down?" It's not even hot outside- it's like 3 degrees- I'm freezing my tatas off and I'm in a hoodie and joggers-

he clears his throat and says "I mean like. With his parents. They've had a bit of a fight, that's all. Don't worry about it."

It's weird though, he seemed kinda nervous when he said that, like it's not the truth. I can tell when jace is lying, his mouth twitches a bit so the side, it makes it really obvious.
