Author's Note: Hey!! Chapter is a little long but I hope you enjoy! :)

Also, spoiler warning if you haven't completed the "In The Shadow's" quest! I tried not to copy their exact dialogue so it would still be interesting to read.

The day passed by dreadfully slow. You imagined this was because of the anxious anticipation you held for your discussion with Ominis that night, but tried not to linger too long on the thought as it made your stomach curl in nauseating twists. Your fingers still smelt of sickly sweet citrus from when you peeled Ominis orange earlier that day and all it did was remind you of the ginormous favor you were to ask of him later.

Ominis was not at dinner that night either. He had told you earlier he would be doing his make up work in his room and working through mealtime, but you partly imagined it was because he did not want to face Sebastian. That being said, Sebastian on the other hand, had no problem speaking of Ominis whilst the two of you sat amongst your peers in the grand hall.

Sebastian blabbed on and on about Ominis and the scriptorium. Before even greeting you, he'd already asked if you had a chance to ask him about it. When you said you hadn't, he proceeded to provide instructions, tips, and tricks on how you could get Ominis to say yes. It made you realize just how often Sebastian must have manipulated Ominis, and perhaps even how little Ominis usually cared up until now.

"I don't know why I'm even bothering with this." Sebastian sighed heavily, referring to the odd display of a hype-session he was trying to give you before your talk with Ominis.

You raised your eyes to meet him, hoping that meant he was finally done talking about the Scriptorium and maybe you could talk about something else now. "And why is that?"

"It's not like he's going to say no to you, y/n."

You stared back quizzically.

"You could ask that boy to do anything and he'd do it for you. All I can hope is that he does it partly for me too."

You stuttered on your words, nearly spitting out the piece of food you had just put in your mouth. "I'm sorry, what ? He would not do anything for me." He doesn't see me like that . You wanted to mutter afterward.

"You can't be serious, I know you're a smart girl."

"That's just what friends do for each other. Look, I agreed to this stupid plan of yours!"

"Fine. Well, we'll see tonight if he says yes to you or not. Just keep in mind he already said no to me, his best friend of five years."

That uneasy feeling bubbled in your stomach again as you tried to dislodge the lump stuck at the back of your throat with some pumpkin juice. Sebastian studied your troubled face as he changed the subject to something more palatable.

The rest of the dinner passed by too quickly for your liking. You would have normally loved to run off and spend time with Ominis, but due to obvious circumstances, you had quite a bit of apprehension. Sebastian walked you back to your dorms and paused in the large clearing of the common room.

"I'll wait here." He said, a determined look on his face.

"You want to do this tonight?" Panic setting into your voice.

"Every day is another day I could lose her, y/n. Please."

You bit your lip and only nodded in response, slowly turning away from him and heading down their room for your eventual doom. You knew what you were doing was wrong. Betraying Ominis' trust, encouraging him to do something you knew he did not want to do. But you couldn't help the guilt you felt for Sebastian as well. You tried to soothe your nerves by excusing your sympathy with the fact that the Scriptorium was so unknown. Anything could be in there, peaceful or dangerous. Though, with Ominis' reaction you assumed it to be the latter.
