In Love with Death (Revenant x reader)

You felt awkward.

You were in a trio with Seer and Catalyst, and the amount of tension in the air is making it awkward for you. You could easily tell that Catalyst did not wanna be there, and you had a feeling that it had to do with Seer, seeing how awkward he is right now.

Today's game is on storm point and you three are walking to Command Center after wiping a team at the Storm Catcher. The entire outside of it was looted and had a few death boxes on the ground. You already had an R301, a level 3 shield, with some meds, shields and amo. You guys looted the boxes, getting some ordinance and a Nemesis, a new energy burst AR, and some amo for it.

You three heard shooting coming from inside and ran to the fight. When you ran in, you guys were getting shot at instantly, you had to stop and get to cover.

You ran to one of the hallways, getting out of the way of all the firing. You tried to peak your head over to see who was there. All you saw was a bunch of smoke and bullets flying, that's all you know, Bangalore is here. You scooted back down the wall, one thing was on your mind. Was he here too?

You pressed your hands to your head, concentrating.

'Revenant?'  You thought, trying to get his attention.

'Hello? Are you there?'

No answer, he must not be here. You sighed.

Next to you, Catalyst activated her ultimate. A large wall of black goo amerged from the ground, you looked at it, surprised and intrigued.

'she has a cool ability' you thought.

She started running twords the battle, Seer right behind her. He activated his ultimate and summoned a dome of drones, you could see all of the enemies inside of it. You started running, not following Catalyst and Seer, but pushing behind the teams, attempting to sandwich them.

When you got to them, they were focusing on Catalyst and Seer. You shot at them with your nemesis, downing one. Another one got knocked down by Seer. Catalyst got knocked down as you were shooting at the last of this team with your R301.

"There's another squad on us!" She yelled into the coms, you growled, killing the last member of this squad.

You rushed over to the window and threw a few thermites at the enemies, cracking a few of their shields. You heared what sounds to be Fuse's knuckle cluster hit near Catalyst.

"Shit" you muttered under your breath, watching the grande kill her.

You heared him shoot one at you, your eyes widened.

"Ganade! Move!" You yelled trying to get out of the way in time, but you didn't. It exploded a bunch of little grandes around you, dealing a shit ton of damage. Once it stops you ran to cover and used a phoenix kit, restoreing your health and shield.

"Enemy down!" Seer yelled into the coms, you ran back to the fight.

You shot and downed Fuse while Seer finished off the last of his squad. It was quiet, Seer stopped and stayed quiet for a second, then he opened his eyes.

"No heartbeats my friend" he looked at you, you sighed in relief. You two started looting, Seer picked up Catalyst's banner. 

You heard the sirens indicating that the ring is closing, you look at your map and see that you are quite far from it.

"Hey! If you don't wanna get barbecued and eaten by me, I suggest you get moving." You called out to Seer, holstering your weapon and running out of the building.
