My hair was in perfect braids. "We should try out for a sports team" Emilia said looking at me "yeah what I'm directionally challenged all the time" she laughs "softball" she suggests "I have a brilliant swing yes but running ugh" she giggles looking at me "yeah running isn't your strong suit unless it's running away from danger" she mused "have you woken to Lexi" "no" I nod I wanted to know how she was. Was she messed up like I was. "Since when are you friends with her" "she's always been a friend strictly school friend though" I told her "your my number one" I assure her "so golf no maybe tennis they have cute skirts" I laugh "we aren't attempting to play tennis for the cute skirts" "your right bad idea" "we are both the girls who are better sitting in the library" "netball weren't you good at that once upon a time" "I haven't played since we were kids have you even played before" "how hard can it be you can do it" I glare at her "I'm not playing netball" "ok then what about track we are good a running" "running away from danger not for fun that feels like it will hurt" "I guess no to hurtles than" "I can barley lift my leg up what makes you think I can do it while running" "thought so we are flexible" I just turn the page of my book "how about drama club your always saying how dramatic your family is maybe your dramatic" "it's no" I said firmly making her shake her head "it's a no to music club both of us don't get those little shape and line things" "the music notes" I question "I don't know" I shrug the only sound was pages turning from the books around us. No we don't go to hogwarts, we were just in a library with ordinary people. "What are you reading now" "Harry Potter again you know the random stuff you realise or discover" "bet your dad loves when you get into these reading quirks" "his yet to read Harry Potter" "ohh that must annoy you" "you have no idea" i muse. "Could Emilia Dawson come to the office" the speaker spoke making everyone look at us. I grab her hand weakly smiling. Nobody else saw it or knew how bad it was when she got called to the office. Probably me to now that they know, it's more when will comes and gets me if something happens. For her though she only got called when something bad happened.
I held her hand tightly her mother was there crying. She was talking to Emilia in Spanish so I didn't know what they were saying. I didn't let go of her hand as I message my dad.
Turns out Diego was taken gabby Emilia's aunt told us. Emilia's mum Laura recognised me and knew my dad was apart of them team. No matter how much she dislikes them, she would never take it out on me. Also if your wondering because we are always together my dad can take Emilia, and her parents can take me. I sat reading a book, the second in the Harry Potter series. "Ally" my attention snaps ups to see dad there I lean up hugging me. "Laura brought me I made her I'm sorry I heard gabby say Diego was gone" I ramble but got cut off by him hugging me. "I'm going to take you to wills ok" "but Emilia" "will he here with her family and as much as I don't want you to leave here but I need you safe so I can focus" I nod slowly "ok I finish my book" he rolls his eyes "your already on the second book" "I'm going to read to you the first one" I told him sternly.
It had been hours. I spent a lot of time reading before falling asleep. I woke up in my bed "did you guys get Diego back" dad snaps his attention up to me from the tv in the darkly lit living room. "Yeah we did" he said nodding making me nod. I smile "can I read the first book" he rolls his eyes tapping the spot beside him.
"It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends" Dad was laying in his bed and I was sitting beside him reading. I read quickly, I wonder if he did as well. I got a few chapters further before he spoke "can we stop bug" I pout "your just going to have to read it again I had a long day and am going to fall asleep" he said "get use to it I don't know if I'm going to do it when your old" he rolls his eyes but I just hug him "I love you" "love you more" he said kissing my head. "I'm going to get you to finish the whole series" he chuckles "I have no doubt go get some sleep I probably won't be here when you wake up" "ugh do I have to leave can't I just sleep here" this never happens. Truth be told I kinda miss my dad. "Fine but you get annoying your gone" I laugh getting under the covers laying down. I miss when I had nightmares and would sneak into his bed. Ok honestly think I just miss my dad and don't want to tell him, but also will do anything to spend time with him.
