Agony

Sam listened as the sound of thunderous shots grew louder. "Jay its getting louder" she said into the radio. She listened as the shots became deafening followed by a scream. All that was heard was shallow very shallow breathing.

"Ally why did you do that god your so dumb sometimes" Emilia said putting pressure on the bullet wound. The phone had been completely disregarded. Sam listened holding back tears. "Jay hurry" she whimpered

I gasp trying to remain as quiet as possible. "Ally icey Hey hey alice you have to stay awake" I smile at Emilia "why did you god your so dumb" I open my mouth to try to speak only for Emilia to put her hand over it. She moves it tapping her ear. Her other hand making sure I don't bleed out. A knock on the door was heard making us tense. Or at least Emilia I could feel it. "Ally Emilia" I heard dad "Jay" Emilia said rushing to open the door before scrambling back to me. "What happened" "she jumped in front of me" Emilia said heartbrokenly. "Hey she's going to be alright I won't let anything happen to her...either of you" dad said "what's the status on the shooters" dad said his voice sounded so broken and distance.

I groan feeling pressure on my wound. "Ally I need you to stay awake" I heard dad say "screw it you know how to use this" "what" everything was so blurry and vivid. I felt myself lifted. "Jay I don't" "just follow my lead we'll stop if we think they are close and I'll shoot you just have that so we are both safe...don't tell your dad or anyone" I suck in a deep breath before opening my eyes "you have a gun though why don't" "just keep your eyes behind us and stay close nothing will happen" i hear dad say his voice comforted me. I felt myself lulled to sleep my his voice.

Emilia put the gun in the back of jays pants a before  the got to everyone. Alice had passed out and was bleeding quickly. Jay rushed over putting Alice on the stretcher. Emilia rushes over to her dad as Sam comes to the stretcher with everyone else.

Jay and Sam hadn't left Alice's side. Will assured the she was fine, along with Connor who had operated on her. She was just currently unconscious. Jay sighs walking out knowing Emilia was here.

"What happened" he didn't mean it to be harsh or blunt. He just wanted answers. "Jay" Antonio said "they came in and she jumped in front of me i I played dead I didn't want her to get hurt because of me" Emilia said making them look at her "I think they would have always shot her she knows them and ally doesn't have many friends" "she knew them" Jay asked stunned "yeah I saw them before talking to her I was with Josh" this not only confused everyone but also stunned them. When did she become friends with them. Was she in on this. Alice didn't want to go to school this morning is this why. All the questions rattled around jays head. He didn't say anything just went back to his unconscious daughter.

"Whats wrong" Sam said looking at him "she knew the two guys who did this she...she didn't want to go to school today" "don't go down that rabbit hole she wanted to stay home so she could hang out with me as for her knowing them she's kind she treats everyone with kindness" Sam shrugs "at least wait till she's awake to before dwelling on that" Sam added. "She was so mad at me" Jay sigh sam just looks at him "I knew it to I knew she was just being nice because you weren't here and as she sometimes put it I was all she had that was here" "Jay she would have always love you she probably was just confused because we don't invite her into our relationship she's not mad at first she might of been but after I spoke to her she wasn't she was happy...she's a lot like you worried about everyone but yourself" Jay smiles at Sam "I remember when she was little and you had just come back you were petrified you were going to hurt her or something" Sam smile at jay but he doesn't give any reaction "she was so loud and boisterous that you just couldn't help but laugh at least for everyone else but to you she was this porcelain doll you got luck and missed the baby faze...I don't know how many times I tried to tell her to be quiet or to give you space because you needed rest or space but she always said" "I just needed big hugs" Jay smiles "she saw me at my worst more than once" "and what did she do" "love me anyways the same way we always told her we loved her no matter what" Jay sighed knowing how right sam was. Sam alway knew exactly what to tell him. "I'm going to find Will" "you don't have to I was just coming to see if you guys wanted me to grab you food when I come back" the ginger Halstead said walking into the room "is she" "she's fine her body is healing she's fine tell you what if she's not awake and conscious by time I get back I'll check her...make sure he doesn't loose his mind" will said causing Sam to smile weakly and nod. "It use to be me telling you not to loose your mind when something happened to her" "I had to push that side of me away for five years" "I don't know when I became this guy" "when you accepted your daughter and loved her endlessly" Sam shrugged "how are you doing" "our daughters unconscious focus on her" "she's not going to talk to me right now how are you the gun fire probably wasn't the best" "I've been fine" "you haven't" Jay stares at her knowing exactly what's happening "a few years ago I had a bad day couldn't even tell you what triggered it she was at home with mouse" "I always liked mouse" "yeah anyways she came in wanting a strawberry milkshake back when she thought I made the best strawberry milkshakes but I wasn't I wasn't in the best headspace and she just knew so she hugged me before asking for one" "she still loves strawberry milkshakes" "loves them wouldn't surprise me if her blood came out strawberry milkshakes think she has one daily" "hey at least it isn't coffee like most kids her age" Jay weakly laughs nodding "what about food ant food she's addicted to like the milkshake" "uh probably chicken nuggets and fruit think she will cry if we don't have chicken nuggets and fruit in the house...the amount of times I go to have some fruit and it's just gone despite me buying the day before or catch her having a midnight snack and just making all the fruit disappear" Jay smiles "she eats anything though you put it in front of her she'll eat it don't think there's any food she doesn't like" "but chicken nuggets and fruit are her go to snacks" "yep along with these weird pre made burrito things she loves eating them all of a night or after school" "she a night owl" "she's an anytime she can read and talk type of person but she does love sleep and can sleep anywhere...will actually almost had her convinced she had narcolepsy for a while" Jay laughs "she nearly beat him when she found out he was joking" Sam smiles at jay "what's her favourite subject" Sam wanted to know everything "she should probably tell you all this it's English though she loves reading even loves a Shakespeare can't remember which one is her favourite I know she enjoys mid summer nights dream, hamlet and Antony and cleopatra" "what other books does she love" "Harry Potter she's read that one a million times and is reading it to me because I wasn't reading it...she likes the chronicles of Narnia, Alice in wonderland, the outsiders, she's read most of the known classics" Sam nods "she likes Star Wars and basically any Disney movie with the exception of frozen apparently that is bad and Satans movie uh back to the future, marvel" Jay shrugs sam can't help but smile at how well he knows their daughter.
