"I have accepted defeat and am reading Harry Potter" dad said I could hear mum snort "where are you up to" "oh chamber of secrets I don't get why she likes this" "her and Sean had a book club where they would both read it together" "I once read a whole history book with her just because she wanted to" will said I felt like I was spying on them. I could hear everything but I wasn't involved.
"Will" Jay said noticing her hand move "don't get excited it could be a muscle twitch" will said her eyes flicker before she opens them.
Everything was blinding bright. I felt like I had just stepped off a spinning ride at the carnival. My eyes clear up and I see dad talking to uncle Will. Mums face lights up as she sees me looking at me. "Uh guys" mum said making them look at me "welcome back you had your dad pacing the room driving everyone insane" will said coming over and checking on me. "Can I have a strawberry Milkshake" I ask making them laugh "I brought one but you can only get it if I check you over and do all the tests" Connor said walking in holding the one thing that makes my heart so happy. I pout. "I got a message from a nurse and from past experiences I know you hate it here so I thought I'll bring it to bride you" "why didn't we think of that when he's here" will said pointing to my dad "he doesn't love strawberry milkshakes like me you would have to keep me hostage although that might just make him mad" I muse feeling more and more better by the second.
I groan "can I have my milkshake" "here" dad said but not before having a sip making me gasp. I take a huge gulp before sighing. "Feel better strawberry veins" dad mused smiling making me smile happily. "I bet many people get confused at that" Connor said walking in "I got your results your good now you can't do anything to strenuous and will unfortunately be stuck here for a little bit but your well and truely on the mend" I smile at him.
"When can I leave" I groan out it was safe to say that I had developed my fathers hatred for hospitals, much to basically everyone's dismay. "Hey Will can you be my home doctor" he laughs "you know strangely that's something your dad has never asked" I smile "there's a first for everything right can I have another milkshake" "No we should probably monitor your diary intake...anesthesia along with the pain meds your on don't always react to diary nicely" will informed me, I pout. "I imagine that's for people who don't have strawberry in there veins" "she's got you there Will although I think we are going to head his warning" mum said causing me to sigh. My eyes find a Harry Potter book making me smile. The three adults look in the direction I'm liking before sighing, well not dad he chuckled. "Yes I started reading it and I seriously don't know why you like it" I pout making him chuckle "read it to me" I demand
Dad eventually gave in and read me the book. "The truth. Tell them Hogwarts is no longer safe. It is as we feared, Minerva. The Chamber of Secrets has indeed been opened again." I said in a funny voice making dad look at me "if you know why am I reading it" he sighed he wouldn't admit it but he secretly loves it "how many times have you read the series Ally" will asked not looking up from his medical notes "seven times I think could be eight or nine" I said "Why spiders? Why couldn't it be 'follow the butterflies" I said making them chuckle "what book are you on" mum asks "order of the phoenix but I haven't started yet I'm reading history of literature" "isn't that a textbook" will said looking at me "yeah I read history of the world but I prefer this one" "man how is she your child you hate reading" Will said to dad making me giggle
