CHAPTER FIFTEEN
"I'LL BE GOING to a club after your shift, you can join me if you want?" Dufie asks with her head cocked to the side. I put the tray with her order in front of her. Dufie and I had gotten closer over the course of weeks and we had exchanged contact info unlike me and Dario but that's a different topic for another day.
Her black hair flowed down her back, she wore an oversized beige cardigan, a white turtleneck matched by a black skirt. She looked beautiful but a part of me wondered if she didn't get cold whenever she took a step outside or maybe I was more sensitive to the cold than her.
Her outfits didn't match the weather or the season. It was still winter, we weren't in March yet so we weren't close to spring.
She had been asking me to accompany her to a club the whole week but I hesitated to give a positive answer. It has been so long since I stepped foot in a club, I preferred not to go alone and I didn't have anyone I could go with. It always feels good to relax after a tiring week and after the exhausting week that has passed I could let myself enjoy a night out. It wouldn't do any harm.
"Which club?" I feel Brianna's heavy stare on my back reminding me I should serve the other customers. The clubs that I had gone to were all close to campus. "S.I.N, it's around this area. You'll like it." She said with her cool facade. I'm pretty sure that I have heard that name floating around.
I pondered over it but it didn't take long, "alright, I'll accompany you. Which time are we meeting?"
"Let's pick nine, if that's achievable for you. When will you be done with your shift?" I didn't have to close the doors this time so I'd have extra time, "eight. I'll try to be there at nine but don't hold me to it." I'd quickly freshen myself up and I have an outfit in mind that has been in my closet the past few years.
I had gained a couple of weights but it should still fit. I hope so.
"Honestly as long as you're able to come, it doesn't matter if you're late." She tells me. I bobbed my head before I could move to the next customer, she asked another question, "or you could come over to mine?"
She's thicker than me thus her clothes wouldn't fit me so I'd have to bring my clothes over to her and change there but that'd be wasting time.
"That'd take more time." I told her, "just send a meeting spot or the club's location and we'll meet there."
"I'll send it later."
I went to help Brianna with the orders, occasionally I would go back to her table but when it started to become late she left the establishment. The moment it hit eight I moved into my casual wear and headed to my side of town.
I noted that Dario didn't come and none of his brothers or his men were anywhere in sight. I hope he was being safe with whatever it is that he's doing.
