Jerrod's POV

I smiled as we started to enter our territory.

Raven Valley used to be a kingdom long time ago.

Father's right though. Nothing much really changed. The town was kept clean from vandalism and crimes.

Humans here are aware of supernatural beings like us. Unlike any other town, Raven Valley was run and govern by supernaturals.

Thus, peace and order were strictly followed. We offer refuge for any lost soul. Supernaturals and humans alike.

Our former King and Queen taught us that, making this town stand strong despite that faithful night where we've lost our former leaders.

It was a horrible and brutal night.

Our former King is a vampire, King Alexander Thorne. A strong and kind one, he said all creatures are the same and equal. For a vampire that was always viewed to be ruthless and cunning, he is an exemption.

His equal and wife, Queen Eve Thorne is a hybrid of werewolf and witch. Makes her a strong sorcerer which strengthen the kingdom even more. We even have once a barrier for protection but was gone when she died.

Together they ruled their the kingdom with compassion and cared for their people thus they were loved and respected by all in return.

Our family has been choosen among werewolves to be one of the three Royal Council making us a high ranking werewolves.

Alpha wolves of Raven Valley Kingdom.

My ancestor Ramsis West together with two other council Lucas Crane a vampire and Lumina Argus a witch, helped our former leaders keep the kingdom safe from enemies.

The royal twin though were somehow lost in every survivors memory.

Even my ancestor Ramsis barely recalled them. They're like a missing piece of a puzzle.

However, after the attack, only Ramsis survived among a few other soldiers and survivors. Lucas and Lumina were slaughtered. Thier bloodline completely wiped out. The king was the last to fall, holding his wife and queen with a hole in her chest.

He passed the responsibility of the kingdom to Ramsis as he took his last breathe.

Ramsis struggled between the loss of his friends and family. His King and Queen's gone forever. And for him to move forward and keep the kingdom going despite its loss. His pain and sacrifice leads as to what we are now.

He lead the fallen kingdom with his best, close to what the kingdom used to be.

He never proclaimed himself King rather a leader in honor of his fallen King and Queen.

I knew this all because I'm the next in line.

My father would step down when I turn 21 years old and I still have 3 more years to learn to be a good leader.

The castle stood tall as we continue to move past the forest. It was restored over time given the slight modern renovations over the years.

The gate opened for us and the guards bowed their heads as we passed. I smiled at them so is my father.

"A wonderful day soldiers. You should smile more." I humor them as I rolled my window down.

My father laughed as the guards smiled at me. They have to loosen up.

"Welcome home son." My father said while laughing.

I looked at the huge double door entrance as my mother came to us. The car stopped right in front of her and a guard took it to park at the garage.

"Jerrod!" My mom exclaimed as I get off the car. She practically threw herself at me engulfing me with an extra tight embrace.

"And here I thought you don't miss me. You were not there at the airport!" I said pouting a bit for a little bit of drama.

"I was busy! I'm preparing a welcome party for you!" She exclaim again.

Geez, mothers kinda childish its a wonder how my father put up with her. But seriously, I love her just the way she is.

"Come on you two let's get inside." Said father while motioning us inside the castle. I know he's just avoiding our little drama.

"Are you hungry son? We have food in the kitchen if you want?" Mother asked as we walk inside. I shook my head.

"I'm not hungry mom, I want to sleep though" I politely answered wrapping my arm around her shoulder.

"Where's Simon?" I asked looking around for my future second in command and bestfriend.

"He went to town. I asked him to run an errand for me." She asnwered.

"Since did he become your personal errand boy?" I asked again raising my eyebrow. She giggled.

"You know he voluntered since he knew its for you" mother winked at me.

I have a bad feeling for this. I thought to myself. She leads me towards my room. Glad to see my bed. I jumped at it.

My mother closed the door and left so I could rest. I felt so drained. I closed my eyes and saw that dark haired girl at the airport's parking lot.

I'll find her again soon. I thought as I drifted off to sleep.
