Jerrod's POV

We had a long day today. We did everything we could to prepare and it seems like not good enough.

Since we do not know when these demons will attack we kept a tighter security around the border.

Our best fighters take shifts in guarding passage across the teritory.

The word quickly spread through the supernaturals and we have been recieving phone calls from other packs lending help to us.

I was beyond grateful to that. I watched my mate curled up in bed fast asleep. I smiled as I tucked the blanket towards her and kissed her forehead.

I will give my life to protect you and your brother.

She stirred in bed but went back to sleep. I looked outside the window. The night is peaceful seems like a calm weather before a storm hit.

"Jerrod head to the eastern border. We have an unexpected guests."

My forehead creased as I heard my father called me with our mind link.

"On my way."

I said sending one last look at my sleeping Robin I moved out the room. I stopped at the stairway as Roe approached me.

"Going somewhere brother-in-law?" He smirked at me.

"I have something to do at the eastern border. Would you like to come?" I offered him.

Marching down the stairway I felt him following me.

"I thought you'd never ask." I laughed at him.

Always a tease. We headed towards the woods and I shifted into my wolf.

"Man, do you really have to shift?"

He blurted waving his hands in the air probably out of frustration. I gave him a wolfish grin and barked at him.

"Whoa! Don't be mad. It's just unfair. I have werewolf genes too but not enough for me to shift."

He continued his pity party. I rolled my eyes at him and barked again.

"Okay! Fine! I'll run. Lead the way." He exclaimed as I nodded.

I quickly dashed towards the forest with Roe following close behind. I picked up my speed and jumped from tree to tree.

Roe did the same. Leaping from one branch to another.

Impressive hybrids.

We reached the eastern border in no time. My father stood in front of us. I shifted back into my human form.

One of the soldier tossed me a shorts and wear them. We moved forward and saw men standing on the other side of the border.

Rogues.

"What do you want?" I asked them. Showing my passive face. A man stepped forward looking at Roe while bowing his head.

"My prince we have come to help."

The man stated totally ignoring me. I narrowed my eyes at him.

"What is your name? And state your purpose why you want to help." I heard Roe asked the Rogue.

"I am William Sage my prince. And this is my pack. We've heard you and Princess Robin were awakened. We've also heard about the attack. We come for help." The man said towards Roe ignoring me while dipping his head.

My eyes grew wide as I watched Roe smile as he man-hugged the rogue. I was stunned together with my soldiers and father.

What the hell?

"We accept your offer Will. I never thought I would ever see you again."

He muttered sounding emotional. The rogue leader smiled brightly at Roe.

"I thought you would never recognize me Roland."

I was even more stunned at their familiarity. Roe turn towards me and smiled cheekily at us.

"Jerrod this is Will. He will help us trust me with this." He said happily.

"How can you be so sure?" I asked him. I don't feel threatened with these men too so I guess his right.

"Because we grew up together long time ago." He bumped the rogue leader with his shoulder.

"But why are they rogues?" I continued to argue. I glanced at the rogue in front of me.

"Because we've been living with humans for a century now. We left after the Royals were lost and now we're back." The rogue named Will reasoned out.

I hesitated for a moment but the look on Roe's eyes made me trust the rogue.

"By the way Will. This is Jerrod, Robin's mate." He continued. The rogue leader looked at me and smiled brightly.

"Welcome to the family my new prince." And then we laughed.

-----

Many have come to help us. Neighboring packs and even roques offered helped. Vampire covens and witches also came over.

As overwhelming as it got. Why do I have this gut feeling that this is still not enough.

------

I entered my bedroom after a tiring day. I saw Robin lounged at the couch watching tv. She smiled at me and gestured for me to come closer.

I sat beside her and lifted her to sit on my lap. She rested her head on my chest as I breathe her scent. It keeps me calm and relax knowing she's safe with me.

"You're tired. Do you want me to run you a bath?" She asked softly at me. I smiled and hugged her closer to me.

"I love you Robin." I could feel her stiffened in my arms then I felt her breathe and relaxed.

I am not expecting an answer right now. I just want to let her know. She slowly looked up at me and looked at my eyes. I can see clearly what she is feeling.

"I love you too." She whispered softly as she leaned forward I met her lips halfway and kissed her tenderly.

Her arms tightened around my neck as we deepened our kiss. I licked my tongue along her lower lip and she parted it allowing me to go on further. Our tongue danced with each other as we continued to kiss. I broke from our kiss and she groaned and pouted. I just laugh at her.

"We have to stop Robin. I want to give you a proper mating ceremony before we mate completely" She just sighed and snuggled in my chest in response.

"I love you." I heard her say it again.

"I love you too Robin. I will do everything to protect you and Roe. I promise"

No matter what I am going to keep that promise.
