Lost in Time

CHAPTER 19 WAR

That night the demons started to swarm the northern borders.

Dozens of portals have been spotted and hundreds of demons coming out of it.

A loud rang of bell sent shivers to me as it signals the enemies presence were near.

I run towards the woods and reached the clearing in no time. I saw Roe and Jerrod along with our best fighters.

The barrier will gave out soon and we stand as second line of defense. I reached for my necklace transforming it to a sword as I approach them.

"Are you ready?" Jerrod wrapped his arm around me and kissed my temple.

"Always." I responded looking at the fading barrier.

Our fighters crouching to a defensive position. Werewolves already shifted and vampires snarled as the first line of defense broke down.

I glanced back to the castle. Another barrier is forming as the witches chanted their spells in case the enemies broke into our defense.

There were also fighters stand guard inside the walls. The alpha and beta were also in there.

"They're here!" I snarled as the shadows appear from the woods.

The moon shine bright in the sky allowing us enough light to see our enemies.

Those dreadful creatures whose greed for power becomes their sole purpose. Jerrod stands protectively infront of me.

"Stay close and please stay alive."

Shifting into his guardian form as his markings glow on his back. I could feel Roe's dark energy rising rapidly as the demons come closer.

Holding my sword firmly I willed my light and felt an electric current surge through my body. Jerrod's markings glow brighter as my power surfaced.

Sparks of electric blue current swirled around us as the creatures started to attack all at once.

I stepped beside my mate and blocked one of the demons. Slicing my blade to it's chest it disappeared as it dies. Roe's doing the same.

Drawing his power with his sword taking down four demons. I spotted one of our fighters being cornered by three demons.

I concentrated my power to my left hand and released it to the demons.

Shredding them Into pieces as the electric light hit them. Another demon charged towards me drawing his claws I dodge the my attacker but not quick enough.

I hissed in pain as it's claws dig into my side. I quickly grabbed his neck releasing some of my energy to it. It shriek as it disappears.

I caught a glimpse of my brother's dark energy getting bigger swirling towards a huge number of demons as they took a direct hit and they vanished.

A loud thud made me avert my eyes from my brother to the origin of the noise.

I saw Jerrod fighting a huge demon. I recognized it the moment I set my eyes on the demon.

"Jerrod!"

I was about to help him but three bigger demons appeared infront of me.

A black wave went through the demons sending them flying as they disappeared into the air.

My brother smirked at me as he snapped the neck of other demons.

A cursing pain erupted on my back as Jerrod took a hit from the huge demon he was fighting. I struggled to stand up as another hit of pain cursed towards my right leg.

I watched as Jerrod continued to fight. Clawing and ripping at the demon's flesh in the process. But the demon doesn't seem to be fazed.

Another demon came running towards me but I quickly held a electric blue barrier around my body keeping the demons away as my body healed my wounds.

"Roe! Jerrod needs help!"

I was breathing heavily and powers are draining rapidly as the fight continues.

"That demon is the one who killed mother!"

Roe snarled as he appeared to my side as the barrier around me begun to fade.

"Yes that's the one and Jerrod's fighting him alone. He won't stand a chance!"

I wobbled to my feet as I stand up. Roe get rid of my attacker easily. He looks exhausted too.

I searched for Jerrod and saw him struggles to get free from the demons hold.

"Oh my God that demon's going to kill him!"

I shouted as my heart tightened painfully as Jerrod tried to break free from being strangled. He looked like his loosing air to breathe.

"Robin!" Roe exclaimed as I begun choking. Jerrod keeps on thrashing his body as the demon tighten its grip on his neck.

I fought and ignored that agonizing pain and moved towards them but more and more demons came to block us and prevent us from coming closer.

"Jerrod! Nooo!"

I screamed as Jerrod's body went limp on the demon's grasp. His body shifted back to it's human form and was dragged towards the portal.

"Roe! help him!"

I killed as much demon as I can to get through but they just kept on coming towards us.

As the demon who held Jerrod paused and stared at me, a sinister smirk appeared on its lips as it continued to drag Jerrod's body further to the portal and disappeared into it.

The other demons begun to back away and vanished to the other portals as well.

Before I could comprehend what just happened a cruel and sinister voice spoke throughout the now silent night.

"If you want your precious mate back. Your welcome to come and get him."

I froze and my blood ran cold as I begun to understand what was this all about. Jerrod will be the bait to draw us towards their lair.

My sword fell to the ground as I felt my world crashed around me. Roe rushed towards me but my electric blue energy started to go out of control.

Thunder and lighting begun to erupt as I kneeled to the ground. My chocolate brown eyes changed to silver as my marking glow brighter .

"Everyone! Get out of here! She's about to release her power! Quick!"

I heard Roe ordered everyone to leave as a shock wave slowly forms from my core to the surface.

"Ahhhh!"

I screamed as the wave grew stronger and burst out of my body shaking the ground and burst into shocks of electric wave sparking as it hit everything around me and exploded.

As I slowly gained control of my power and I look around. The aftermath of my outburst caused more damage than I have ever imagined.

A huge part of the forest was ruined and totally destroyed. My brother is standing nearby with his dark energy protecting him from my outburst.

"We have to get Jerrod back. I want him back! And we will end this!"

I stated firmly as my face turned to a snarl. Creating a portal to the depths of darkness. Roe reached for hands and squeezed it tightly as we stepped inside the portal.
