CHAPTER 15 SPAR

Jerrod's POV

I lead the twins towards the training ground. They kept bugging me about it. The soldiers immediately straightened up as we entered the building.

"Carry on." I told them so they could continue with their training.

The twins take a look around the building and ended up looking at eachother grinning.

"Wow! This is way better than what we had before." Roe blurted as he wave his hands at the air. He's acting a little childish for his age.

"Simply because were at the modern age idiot!" I heard Robin grumbled as she moved to the sparring mats.

Fiesty little hybrid.

"Come on. Let's stretch out a bit." She tapped her feet at the mat and look sternly at her brother.

"Okay. Just don't cry if you lose." Roe dashed to the mat and begin bouncing, wiggling his hands and stretching a bit.

Robin did the same. I just stayed silent watching them carefully. This is the royal twins. This is not just an ordinary sparring.

"Just please don't over do your stretching okay?" I finally blurted as they take their figthing stance.

I shook my head at their childish behaviour. What can I expect? I'm quite sure they're younger than me now.

"Can't promise you that!" Roe shouted as he fake an attack to Robin.

She just smirked and moved to his side rather fast and landed a kick on his leg.

Impressive. That was a great move.

"Ah! That hurt Robin!" He glared at her and she attacked again.

Swinging her arms she almost hit Roe at the face missing him an inch. He answered with quick kick on her stomach and she staggered. I cringed as if I was the one to took the hit.

For being lost for centuries they were surprisingly fast and strong. Another round house kick from Roe and Robin fell to the matt.

She rolled to side and looped her legs on his and pull him down. She quickly grabbed his arm but he managed to snatch it away pinning her to the mat.

Robin brought her head foreward and she banged it with his making him fell to his side.

Is she nuts? That surely hurt!

Robin stood up clutching her forehead as Roe rolled from side to side. I can't help but laugh at him.

"Robin you cheated!" He yelled as he tried to stand up.

He's swaying and his sister just laughed at him. I looked at their forehead but not a single bruise is visible.

They heal faster than ordinary supernaturals. Even bruises fade faster.

"That hurts like hell Robin." He while whipping his head.

"I thought you would move out knowing I always do that when in that position." She said while sticking her tongue.

"Immature." Roe muttered.

"You too." Robin answered.

Before they throw more childish insults to themselves I interrupted them.

"Hey! Stop it." They both faced me pouting.

"Both of you run five laps. Now!" I ordered them gesturing them to start running making their mouth hang open.

"What?" The chorused.

."I'm in charge. Now do it." I said firmly.

They pouted even more before stomping their way as they started to run. After ten minutes they were already panting.

"One more lap!" I shouted at them. They just groan and collapsed to the ground.

"I can't feel my feet." Roe blurted. Robin just lay still panting.

"Are you sure your not going to kill us? Because were already dying." She grumbled with her breathe. I stood in front of them.

"You should be used to it though." I said at them glaring.

"Yeah right as if we ever train ourselves for a century now. You should reconsider." She argued. She's too exhausted to stand up.

Roe on the other hand is slowly standing up. He wobbled a little but gained his balance. I picked the girl up as she has no intention on getting up.

I watch as her cheeks went reddish showing her blush. I pretended to not see it as she peeked one of her eyes at me. She bit her lips causing me to swallow my spit.

My beast is already at edge right now. He's becoming more restless since I ever saw this girl from the airport. Roe cleared his throat and I started walking out of the building to the castle. She's still blushing.

I couldn't help but mentally make a happy dance. She likes me too. I out her down by her bed and she turn her back on me.

"Thank you!" I heard her say.

"It's an honor serving you Robin." I said as I walked out her bedroom.

Later that night I went to visit Matthew at the infirmary. He's working with his computer when I entered. I did not bother knocking at his door.

"What brought you here Jerrod?" He asked without looking up.

"I just want to clarify things about this protector thing." I started as I took a seat in front of his table.

"What about that?" He asked again while tapping his computer still not looking up.

"Does this include my beasts restlessness being around her?" He finally looked up at me. His eyebrows furrowed as his eyes narrows at me.

"Restless? Does this happened before?" He straightened in his seat probably curious.

"No, not before her." I answered quickly.

"Did you already found your mate Jerrod?" I sighed at his question. "No, I haven't found her yet"

"Hmmm..." He hummed as he went back to his work.

"That makes sense. I guess your not just an ordinary protector then. Your beast actually is sensing your mate already."
