Lost in Time

CHAPTER 20 END

We stepped inside the spiralling portal to the underworld.

My brother held my gands tightly as we travelled to unknown territory to rescue my mate, Jerrod.

A world full of darkness that's what I can describe this place. Or marks glow brigther as our eyes adjusted to the dark. As hybrids of three powerful supernaturals we have our perks.

"Don't do anything stupid."

My brother whispered. I look at him fondly for the first time he is the one warning me.

"I won't. I just want Jerrod back. Safe and alive."

I observed the surroundings and then I saw a huge castle like rock just in front of us.

"Jerrod must be in there."

Roe spoke his hand stretched towards the huge rock in front.

"Let's go." I started walking but Roe pulled me to him.

"Just don't do anything reckless it migth kill Jerrod or all three of us."

He wrapped his arms around me as I nodded my head to him. Our markings no longer glowing as we started to move forward.

We sneaked closer into the rock. Surprisingly no demons stand guard.

"They're expecting us."

"I know. But we have to stay hidden."

We squeezed into a narrow passage and entered a huge room. It's also empty.

My heart stopped as I saw my mate chained in silver hanging on the wall. Drops of blood flowing from his wounds. The silver restrained his healing ability.

"He'll bleed to death!"

I whispered harshly tp my brother. My knuckles turning white as I fisted my hands.

My mate groaned in pain and I fekt the urge to snap the chains of his wrists.

"I told you don't be reckless." Roe held my hand squeezing it tightly.

"He's hurting!"

I pried his hands off me and run towards Jerrod. I jumped to the wall pulling the chains off my mate. I freed him in no time. His body begun healing without the presence of silver.

"Robin! Behind you!"

Roe shouted as a vine like rope circled my neck lifting me to the ground. Jerrod's bidy slumped to the ground as I tried to reach for him.

"Aren't you a reckless little hybrid?"

I stiffened at that voice. I snapped my head towards my attacker as it stepped forward to face me.

He is holding a dagger and playing it with his hands. I struggled to get free but my hands and feet were restricted with vines too.

"Do you know why I've always wanted you twins?"

He continued to ask. I heard my brother hissed as he was also trapped with the vines too.

"You two were a gift to balance the world. The light and the dark. The pure and the stained. Your both will give me so much more power than I could ever have."

He laughed evilly as he waved the knife infront of me. I snarled at him.

"Now now princess. Your mother died trying to protect you but I guess she just died in vain."
