When Jennie and Lisa heard this, they were taken aback. They exchanged glances and heaved a sigh as they said, "We have no idea about anything concerning Irene's stay in the hospital."

The anticipation in Seulgi's eyes turned dim once again. He feigned a smile. Just as he was about to say something else, Jennie added, "Lisa and I have been busy handling our wedding. Therefore, we couldn't spare time to pay a visit to Rene in the hospital. Now that Rene has been released from the hospital and my wedding is over, it's best if we arrange to pay her a visit someday."

Seulgi was stunned for a while before reacting to Jennie's words and quickly looked up. On his face, there was a visible glee that sprouted from the bottom of his heart.

Jennie was used to seeing Seulgi behaving elegantly and gentlemanly. As such, she could not bear to watch Seulgi in his current demeanor. Indeed, when a person falls in love, his intelligence plummets!

Jennie smiled awkwardly before she said, "We'll let you know about Rene's situation after the visit."

Seulgi was overjoyed. "Thank you very much in advance. I am in your debt. If you ever need my assistance again, please know that I will do my absolute best."

"Don't mention it."

Seulgi's face brightened after receiving the desired response. For the rest of the conversation, he no longer spoke stiffly and awkwardly.

However, Seulgi looked like he had been extremely busy over the past few days. While he was casually conversing with Jennie and the rest of her group, he left to pick up a call.

Seulgi had not even greeted Moonbyul before leaving. As a result, he asked Jennie and the rest of her group to inform Moonbyul on his behalf that he was leaving.

Jennie and the rest of her group were free as soon as Seulgi left. Before rushing to the church, the brides had been busy with their preparations and make-up. As a result, they had not taken in any food. When things slowed and they stood about idly, they felt a pang of hunger.

The grooms were mindful that their brides had been wearing their gowns all day and were exhausted. They were considerate and took on the mission of bringing food for them while their brides remained in place.

Right after Lisa and Minho left, an unexpected guest came to them.

As Jennie looked at the approaching young man, she paused her conversation with Suzy. Suzy was puzzled. She cast a glance at Jennie who had fallen silent all of a sudden and asked, "Jennie, what's the matter?"

Jennie made a shaky motion with her head. She took Suzy's hand in hers and reminded her, "No matter what happens, don't butt in or don't snap in. Just sit and wait. If someone greets you, you respond to him. Don't bother the rest, okay?"

Suzy did not quite understand Jennie's words. However, she gave her a nod obediently and shut her mouth.

Minchul went up to Jennie and Suzy. He initiated the conversation. "Jennie, congratulations to you."

"Thank you." Jennie smiled in response.

Minchul then moved his gaze away from Jennie and settled on Suzy. He said to her sweetly, "You are my cousin-in-law now."

Suzy was not good at dealing with strangers, especially the Kim family's relatives whom she had never met. Furthermore, Jennie had already reminded her to speak less. As a result, Suzy simply nodded coldly when Minchul complimented her.

A glimpse of bone-chilling light flashed across Minchul's eyes. He then turned his head around and resumed his conversation with Jennie. "Today is your special day. Why did I not see Third Uncle and Third Aunt, as well as Su Gyeom? I find the atmosphere to be a little less lively without them."

Minchul spoke without a hint of remorse. However, when others heard of his words, they thought that he was actually referring to the type of remorse in which Jennie's Third Uncle and his family were unable to attend her wedding.

However, Jennie knew him very well. What Minchul was referring to was the type of remorse that Third Uncle's family had not shown up and caused a commotion at her wedding. As a result, he had missed a good show.

Jennie narrowed her eyes. Her smile remained unbroken. She heaved a sigh and appeared to be extremely regretful as she said in resignation, "Indeed. Third Uncle and Third Aunt couldn't possibly miss Minho and my wedding. I've already had someone specially invite them over earlier. Unfortunately, it looks like they are too preoccupied with Su Gyeom to come."

"Is Su Gyeom hurt?" Could he have been... at the banquet the last time? Jennie, you..." Minchul purposely blamed it on Jennie.

Jennie did not give in to him. She snorted, "Everyone at the banquet saw that Uncle Kim had helped Su Gyeom with his arm before he left. Therefore, I was not the one who injured him. Instead, I'm curious as to why you would attribute Su Gyeom's injury to the banquet, and that I was the primary perpetrator. Or, to put it another way, Chief Kim, do you know anything else?"

Minchul was stunned when he was pushed back all of a sudden. He quickly refuted, "Jennie, don't simply accuse me. I'm completely clueless. It's just that when you mentioned Su Gyeom's injury, I suddenly remembered the incident where you fought with him and made a big scene at Min-a's banquet. Su Gyeom was injured as a result. Therefore, it's only my own speculation."

"Oh, really?" Jennie grinned and did not say anything. She stared straight into Minchul's eyes.

Minchul's heart clenched upon meeting Jennie's sharp gaze. He fought to keep the smile on his face.

Suzy remembered Jennie's instruction before this. She sat quietly at the side as she listened to their conversation.

Despite the fact that she was not involved in their verbal sparring, she unwittingly hunched her shoulders and felt darkness run between them.

Minchul's expression grew increasingly dark. When Jennie saw this, she knew that she had achieved her purpose. She decided to restrain herself when the time came. The next moment, she said faintly, "Speaking of which, Chief Kim, I must inquire as to why Second Uncle did not attend my wedding? It's okay if Third Uncle and Third Aunt are not present, but why Second Uncle couldn't attend today, then? Could it be that he was called away for an emergency and was unable to make himself available, just like last time?"

Minchul heaved a sigh of relief when Jennie took the initiative to switch the topic. However, when he heard the mention of Jung Tae, the smile on his face turned stiff. It took him some time before he said, "I heard that my father came to look for you not long ago."

Jennie did not answer Minchul's question. She raised one of her eyebrows and asked back, "You heard from someone else?"

Minchul was rendered speechless. He paused for a moment before he said, "I heard that my father had said something that had offended you last time when he came to look for you. Therefore, I would like to apologize on my father's behalf. He has been agitated lately and could not think clearly. As a result, he spewed a great deal of nonsense. Jennie, I hope you don't take his words to heart.."
