When Lisa heard this, he subconsciously cast a glance at Jennie, who was standing next to him. Ever since his first night after the wedding, he had been living a monk's life. When he compared himself to Minho, he felt truly... pitiful!

Lisa's depressive appearance was palpable. When Jennie saw this, the corners of her lips twitched. She dared not meet his passionate stare. Instead, she discreetly looked up, acting as if she had not noticed him.

The elderly doctor drew his hand away from Suzy without pressing the issue any further. He was in deep thought as he gave a nod.

Min-a had been waiting anxiously by the side. Finally, she could no longer hold herself back when the doctor did not say anything after some time. She asked, "Doctor Li, how is she?"

The elderly doctor turned his head around and faced Min-a. He gave a smile as he said, "She needs to go to the hospital for a thorough examination to confirm the speculation. However, based on the madam's pulse rate, as Ms. Kim stated, the madam is most likely pregnant. Mr. Kim and Young Master Kim, congratulations!"

The above scenario was a classic example of the ripple effect.

What the elders had wished for had finally come true. They were struck dumb, and it took them some time before they snapped out of their dazes.

"Oh, my god! Suzy is expecting a child! She is pregnant for real!" Min-a clasped her hands and looked in excitement at Woobin, who stood next to her.

Woobin's face was devoid of emotion. However, there was an obvious gleeful glint in his usually cold eyes.

In the past, they had thought that they would never be able to have their flesh and blood for the rest of their lives.

They did, however, have their own son and daughter-in-law now, as well as a grandchild on the way. Nothing was more satisfying than this!

Before the elderly doctor revealed the results of his examination, Minho had already walked to the bedside, took Suzy's hand in his, and squeezed the elderly doctor, who was originally sitting by the bedside, to the side.

Fortunately, the elderly doctor understood the feelings of the couple who was new to parenthood. He did not take him to heart. Instead, he stood off to the side and dutifully explained the next steps.

"Although there is a seventy to eighty percentage of confirmation rate, the medical equipment in this house is not as extensive as in the hospital. As such, it's best to take her to the hospital for a thorough examination in order to gain more assurance."

Despite what the elderly doctor said, the Kim family was aware of his medical expertise. Therefore, they had already reached a decision in their hearts. Of course, taking Suzy to the hospital for a check-up was acceptable for peace of mind.

Meanwhile, Minho had already shifted his attention to another matter. "Doctor Li, if she is truly pregnant, are there any dietary restrictions for pregnant women?"

At the end of the day, Minho was still more concerned about Suzy's health compared to the child.

Minho's face darkened when he recalled Suzy's dry heaving and weak demeanor from a while ago. If possible, he did not want to see Suzy suffer in any way, not even the slightest bit.

"It's best to have a clean diet for a pregnant woman in her early stage. Remember to eat less and have more meals. If she suffers from severe pregnancy vomiting, it's advisable to include fruits and vegetables in her meals because they are more nutritious and non-greasy." The elderly doctor smiled faintly as he said. "Go and do a check-up in the hospital. After the results of the diagnosis are confirmed, I'll give you a list of the pregnancy diet for Suzy to pay attention to."

The Kim family was extremely happy over the unexpected surprise. Shin-hye naturally was happy for her family-in-law. However, she was a little disappointed at the same time.

"Min-a, you're very lucky. Your son has just got married and now, you're going to have a grandchild soon." While Shin-hye was saying this, she cast a resentful glance at Jennie and Lisa before she heaved a sigh of disappointment.

Jennie looked speechless. She discreetly looked up. A hint of hesitation and deep thought flashed across her eyes. Nevertheless, she heard everything Shin-hye said.

After the brief interlude, the crowd no longer had a desire for food. Jennie reminded them, "If Suzy is truly pregnant, the child inside her belly needs nutrients to grow. like Suzy had mentioned, she had not taken any food since morning. Besides, she vomited once. She must be starving now. It's best to take in some food before going to the hospital."

The crowd stopped upon hearing this. They were in the middle of a bout of excitement. As such, they did not feel hungry. However, it would be a big deal if Suzy and the child in her belly were hungry.

Thinking of this, Min-a immediately rushed to the kitchen and informed the kitchen lady to remove all the oily dishes and replace them with several healthier options.

By the time the crowd gathered again at the dining table, they no longer chatted on their own. Instead, they paid attention to Suzy in unison, as if anything was fine as long as Suzy was well-fed.

Suzy felt goosebumps all over her body under their stare. She wished she could bury her face in the bowl.

Finally, all of them were able to finish the meal. Min-a called the driver anxiously, which was a rare sight, while apologizing to Shin-hye and asking her to pay them a visit next time because she could not receive her due to an emergency today.

Shin-hye waved her hand to express her understanding. She then took Leo and was about to go home. Jennie pondered for a while, but in the end, she did not join Min-a and the rest of her group.

"Jennie, Lisa, are you coming back with us?" Shin-hye stared at Lisa and Jennie with a smile as she asked.

Before Lisa answered her, Jennie had already taken the lead and responded, "Mother, Lisa and I have to handle some business. You could go home with Leo first."

"Have to take care of some business, huh?" Shin-hye was stunned. She looked back and forth between the couple. In the end, she did not ask further. She said with a smile, "Alright. I'll take Leo and go back first."

"Okay."

Shin-hye and Leo left together while Jennie and Lisa were left behind. The couple then got into the car. Lisa was the first to break the silence. "Where are we going... next?"

Jennie turned her head around and looked at him. She asked him back, "Do you have any place to go?"

"Me?"

Jennie smiled gently when she was greeted by Lisa's surprised and puzzled eyes. "Our dating was interrupted last time. It has not been easy for us to finally spare some time out to make up for our last date."

Lisa was still at a loss before it took him some time to snap out of his trance. His eyes lit up. "Let's go and watch a movie, shall we?"

"Do you want to watch a movie?"

Lisa hesitated for a while before he gave a nod.

When Jennie saw him in his current state, the smile on her face grew increasingly prominent. She stretched out her hand and held Lisa's. "Alright. Let's go and watch a movie."

Lisa did not respond to her. However, Jennie noticed an obvious hint of glee in his eyes. The car was filled with a heartwarming atmosphere, but it did not last long.

Just when Lisa was about to start the car engine, Jennie's mobile phone... rang all of a sudden!
