Nam Joo-hyuk's heart skipped a beat. Without giving it a second thought, he bent over and carried the woman in his arms before telling Suzy, "You follow the police officer to make a statement first, while I'll send her to the hospital."

"But..." Suzy looked worried. She was reluctant to leave Woo-hee at that moment.

"Don't worry. I'm around. Nothing will happen to her." Nam Joo-hyuk's expression darkened as he spoke with affirmation.

Suzy was stunned and rooted to the spot. Before she could say anything, Nam Joo-hyuk had carried Woo-hee and slipped out of her sight.

Looking at Nam Joo-hyuk's silhouette from a distance, Suzy sensed that something was wrong. However, her concerns for Woo-hee overshadowed this feeling.

Nam Joo-hyuk rushed Woo-hee to a nearby hospital, where he watched helplessly at the side as doctors and nurses administered blood transfusion emergency treatment to the person whose face had turned as white as sheets and appeared extremely weak. His heart was clenching up. He was heartbroken and worried about her.

This was a completely new sensation for Nam Joo-hyuk, so much so that he struggled to adjust to it.

While Nam Joo-hyuk's emotions and feelings were all in turmoil, Suzy was also in a difficult situation.

Jennie and the rest of her group received the news right after Suzy was taken to the police station.

At that time, Jennie had taken Leo to the Manoban family and was chatting with the former Master Manoban, Shin-hye, and Tae-joon. When Leo first saw the former Master Manoban, he was a bit terrified.

This was especially so because the former master was born with a solemn, intimidating face. He could certainly frighten young children if he appeared on the streets in the middle of the night. Leo was thought to be brave because he did not cry when he first saw him.

Leo initially behaved obediently in front of her former Master Manoban. However, with Shin-hye's help, he realized that the former Master Manoban was similar to Woobin, who had a cold exterior but was passionate on the inside. The former Master Manoban appeared unfriendly, but he loved his family dearly.

With Woobin as his pillar of strength, Leo soon relaxed his guard and took the initiative to speak with the former Master Manoban.

The former Master Manoban behaved as he usually did. However, his eyes softened whenever he placed his attention on Leo. Anyone could tell that the former Master Manoban adored Leo very much.

Initially, Jennie was a bit worried about this but was relieved when she saw this.

The people who were about to become a family were chatting incessantly and happily in Leo's presence. From a distance, the atmosphere appeared cheerful and heartwarming. The atmosphere, however, did not last long and was soon broken by a sudden call.

"Jennie, what's happening?" When Shin-hye noticed that Jennie's expression looked troubled as soon as she answered the call, she could not help but show her concern to her.

Jennie forced a smile at them and said in a low voice, "Sorry for the interruption. Something seems to have happened to my eldest sister-in-law. I have to take a trip down there. As for Leo... he would stay here with you first. Is it okay if I arrange someone to pick him up later?"

Shin-hye and the rest of her group were initially disappointed because they expected Jennie to leave with Leo.

However, when they learned that Jennie had agreed to let Leo stay, it was like a dream came true for them. How could they possibly turn her down?

"Something has happened to your eldest sister-in-law, huh? Jennie, you better go there to have a look. You could leave Leo to us. We'll take good care of him and won't let him suffer any grievances. Save the hassle from arranging someone to pick him up. After all, I still have something concerning your wedding to discuss with your mother so I'll personally send Leo over later."

Jennie was rendered speechless as she observed Shin-hye's joyous expression. She reflected to herself. 'Is she one of those typical mother-in-laws who would forget her daughter-in-law in the presence of her grandson? People who don't know the context would think that you despise me, Madam Manoban!'

Despite her heartfelt quips, Jennie was relieved that they adored Leo. She nodded at them and reminded Leo, "Leo, be a good boy. I have to leave first due to an emergency. Grandma Shin-hye would send you home later. Behave properly and avoid causing problems for Grandma Shin-hye and the rest of her group, okay?"

Even though Leo was reluctant to part with Jennie, he nodded obediently, "I'll behave well. Please return home early, Mommy."

Jennie smiled as she gave a peck on her son's forehead. She politely bid the elders farewell before rising and preparing to leave.

At that moment, Lisa rose and said in a low voice, "I'll go with you."

President Manoban was well aware of Jennie's temperament. Things that could cause a change in Jennie's expression were certainly not trivial.

Jennie had intended to decline him. However, when she saw the hint of perseverance in Lisa's eyes, her faith was a little shaken, and she nodded.

They dashed over to the police station as quickly as they could. Minho was getting out of his car at the same time they were. They exchanged silent glances before quickly walking in.

Suzy sat on a chair in the big hall, debating whether she should make a phone call and inquire about Woo-hee's current situation. But, come to think of it, she did not have Nam Joo-hyuk's phone number!

Just as she was in a dilemma, she heard the sound of hasty footsteps rising from outside.

Suzy reflexively looked up and saw Jennie and the rest of her group walking toward her. She jerked up.

"Minho, Jennie..." Suzy's tense nerves relaxed when she saw them and called them with tears in her eyes.

The moment Minho got close to Suzy, he narrowed his eyes and sized her up. When he was assured that she was alright, he reached out his hand and snatched Suzy into his arms.

Suzy felt more at ease when she fell into his familiar embrace. The tears in her eyes could not help but flow and splatter on Minho's jacket.

"Minho, Woo-hee... Woo-hee..."

"What becomes of Woo-hee? Suzy, don't get too worked up, speak slowly." Jennie's heart clenched when she heard Suzy sobbed. When she was on the phone before this, the person on the other line had informed her that something had happened to Suzy and she had been sent to the police station. Meanwhile, Woo-hee had been injured and taken to the hospital. The person had not specified the severity of her wound.

Jennie could not help but feel nervous when she saw Suzy burst into tears. She was afraid that Woo-hee had been seriously injured.

"Woo-hee... Woo-hee was stabbed by that woman because she rescued me. She bled a lot and Big Brother Nam has sent her to the hospital." The next moment, Suzy suddenly looked like she recalled something and looked up from Minho's arms. She said anxiously, "Minho, I don't have Big Brother Nam's mobile phone number. Could you please assist me in contacting him to inquire about Woo-hee's current situation?"

Minho creased his eyebrows. He stretched out his hand and wiped away the tears on Suzy's face as he said quietly, "Alright, I will. Don't get so worked up.."
