I think hope is the worst feeling in the world, because it is our last thread of believing in a better outcome.
Most of the times we hope when we are close to breaking, and if things do not go according to plan, even the very hope that we hold on to dies.
We realize that there is really nothing left to hold on to. After losing all hope, we see the darkness for what it really is, we see how truly distractive it can be, and because we lose even the tinniest shred of hope, even the light at the end of the tunnel becomes but only a myth. Hope hurts
