Once I fought in a battle, like my life depended on the victory and it did.
I did not win but I survived, barely.
It's a contradicting statement really, because parts of me died in that battle so maybe saying I survived is being too generous.
Once I fought in a battle, like my life depended on the victory and it did.
I did not win and so, with that loss, I equally lost myself.
I did not win and I really did not survive but I existed after that battle and everyday serves as a reminder of what I lost.
